Background
Shu entered the Inner World with Goto Hitori during its earliest days. He armed her with a steel pipe, coordinated their first monster ambush, and confessed that he had always liked her; the two became a couple after surviving the opening three-day period together. 2 7
His System’s growth mechanism depends on forming marriage contracts. Rather than conceal this condition from Hitori, Shu directly explained that he intended to build a harem because he expected stronger monsters, hostile Players, and organized groups to threaten them in the future. 14
He rapidly established himself as one of Tsukirou Town’s strongest Players. With Hitori and Hiratsuka Shizuka, he repeatedly cleared the Goblin Instance, becoming the first Player in the Inner World to complete it 100 times and obtaining high-grade resources and equipment. 34 40
Appearance
Shu is repeatedly described as exceptionally handsome, with a coldness and maturity that make him seem older and more distant than an ordinary high-school student. 57 124
- Usually appears in his school uniform in the real world. 57
- Has an aloof presence that attracts attention while discouraging casual approach. 57
- His appearance is further enhanced by the Succubus Talent, which causes others—especially women—to feel instinctively favorable toward him. 127 129
Personality
Shu is intensely self-confident and openly arrogant. He considers the strong independent of the weak’s approval, refuses to justify himself to people he considers irrelevant, and responds to pressure with blunt dismissal rather than compromise. 57 112 113
His worldview centers on capability, tangible benefit, and personal responsibility. He rejects demands to sacrifice his team’s resources for an abstract “greater good,” arguing that resources belong to whoever can secure them. 42 113
Despite his ruthless reputation, Shu differentiates sharply between outsiders and those he considers his own. He gives his closest partners priority access to his resources, protects people who are targeted by coercion or cruelty, and supports their growth in both the Inner World and daily life. 21 46 51 71
