Ling Pengyun helped Azure Water True Person survive a demonic assault and reach the Nascent Soul realm, then returned to the Ling Clan and strengthened its next generation. He later led an expedition into the White Shadow Secret Realm, where his allies began fighting the traitorous demon clans and drew the Three-Headed Azure Scale Snake King into pursuit.

• Ling Pengyun and Yan Siyi left Ice Snow Valley with Ling Yunhong, Ling Penglin, the Black Armored Turtle, and their Golden Core combatants to join Azure Water True Person.
• Ling Pengyun’s group entered the Blazing Sun Immortal Sect, where Saint Demon Old Man and the Saint Demon Sect attacked as Azure Water True Person attempted his breakthrough.
• Thundercloud True Person sacrificed himself to destroy Resentful Ghost Demon Lord’s fused ghost, and Saint Demon Old Man eventually broke into the sect.

The secret realm became a new resource and potential refuge for the clan as the Beast Tide continued at White Cloud City.

• Ling Pengyun completed his Five Elements Golden Core and began deriving the Lingxiao Five Elements Treasure Tome as the Demon Beast Uprising erupted across Yan Kingdom.
• The Ling Clan helped defend White Cloud City while demonic forces ravaged the countryside, and Mo Ye Old Flood Dragon led an attack into the clan’s territory.
• Ling Pengyun forced Mo Ye to sign a Soul Contract and surrender the Illusory Flood Dragon Banner, then sent Ling Chengxia and a thousand clan members toward the Boundless Sea Region while preparing to defend White Cloud Mountain Range.
