Evenson drew Strange into the fight against Kaecilius while pursuing his own plans around Mephisto, Joan of Arc, and the Sanctums. After the Ancient One died and Strange became Sorcerer Supreme, Kaecilius brought down the Hong Kong Sanctum, and Klayya entered the Dark Dimension to negotiate with Dormammu.

• Evenson investigated the Nevada estate with Li Lin, where Farina revealed her demonic nature and Gildres explained his bargain with Mephisto to recover Joan of Arc’s soul.
• Evenson gave the puzzle box to Pinhead, then returned to Kamar-Taj and helped arrange Strange’s dramatic arrival after Strange’s car crash left his hands unusable.
• Evenson pulled Strange’s soul from his body to prove souls existed, and the Ancient One later showed Strange other worlds and a glimpse of the Dark Dimension.
• Evenson and Klayya agreed to let Strange confront Kaecilius, while Evenson empowered Li Lin and sent her to help defend the Hong Kong Sanctum.
• Kaecilius attacked the London and New York Sanctums, where the defenders resisted him and Evenson manipulated events so Kaecilius killed the revived Milia.

After Dormammu’s attack, Klayya established a Magic Council while Evenson revived Ancient One as Gabriel and became entangled in the effort to stop Hydra’s Project Insight. Gospel Company unveiled plans for medicines, gene editing, and interstellar colonization, leaving Alexander Pierce convinced that the company was targeting Hydra.

• Klayya’s negotiation with Dormammu failed when Nyarlathotep forbade her to use his name, but Evenson and the Eredar Twins activated Plan B and Strange’s restored Sanctum helped drive Dormammu away.
• Mordo left Kamar-Taj after accusing its mages of wrongdoing, while the Sanctum leaders made Strange Sorcerer Supreme and established a Magic Council led by Klayya.
• Evenson revived Ancient One in a Bio-cradle, and she named herself Gabriel after revealing that her personalities had fused.
• Evenson learned that Centipede had kidnapped Coulson and discovered that Nahash had emerged from Coulson’s body, while Mephisto agreed to help stop Project Insight in exchange for Evenson’s aid in saving Joan of Arc’s soul.

• Alexander Pierce linked Bloody Tongue’s contact with Gospel Company to a threat against Hydra and Project Insight, then ordered Sitwell to detain everyone at the company.

Evenson rescued Skye, encountered Asgard’s succession crisis, and uncovered Odin’s hidden condition as several powers prepared for war. He then led an invasion of the Fel Scar Rift and started the assault on Hailmondas’s fortress.

• Pierce approved Sitwell’s limited investigation of Gospel Company while ordering him to observe Garrett, and Sitwell left with a winged-cat tie clip.
• Evenson diverted Skye from Coulson’s trip to Tahiti, arranged her treatment and mechanical rehabilitation, and began the Edge of Tomorrow plan using Sambora.
• Evenson and S.H.I.E.L.D. met Sif, who explained Frigga’s rise to power and sought help with Lorelei and Hela’s challenge to Asgard’s throne.
• Hela proposed that she rule Asgard while Frigga governed at home, and Evenson warned Sif to stay out of the succession struggle.
• Sif helped secure Lorelei’s conviction, and the United States established a legal precedent treating magic and superpowers as potential deadly weapons.

The investigation ended with Thomas Nash dead, Victoria Hand suspecting Evenson, and Jialiya’s group intervening aboard the hijacked Star of Moria.

• Evenson’s forces defeated Hailmondas and his demon army, and Evenson absorbed Fel smoke from the Pit Lord’s skull before Sathir reshaped it.
• Evenson returned to the rift, where the Eredar Twins established control, then returned Peggy Carter’s heart and learned that a week had passed during his absence.
