Confrontation with Lu Zhou

Following Lu Zhou's tribulation, Yaoguang appears among the spectators and courteously introduces himself as Saint Son Yaoguang. Lu Zhou immediately questions him about the Dragon Pattern Black Gold Cauldron and its possible connection to the Ruthless Emperor. 81

Yaoguang publicly insists that the cauldron was forged through fifty thousand years of Yaoguang sages' worship, sacrifice, and devotion. He dismisses all claims connecting it to the Ruthless Emperor as baseless rumors and argues that an Emperor Weapon cannot be moved lightly because it must suppress a sect's foundation. 82

Challenge and Apparent Death

Lu Zhou challenges Yaoguang to demonstrate the Sacred Light Art. Yaoguang accepts, arranging a duel in Divine City one month later while citing his unfinished secret technique. 83 84

Before the battle takes place, Yaoguang is apparently killed in an assassination involving a wisp of Extreme Emperor Might. His supposed death initially serves to cast doubt on Lu Zhou's accusations against Yaoguang. 105

Holy Master Yaoguang later confirms Lu Zhou's conclusion that the Saint Son had faked his death, and that the wider operation was led by the Ruthless Emperor lineage with covert assistance from the Holy Master lineage. Lu Zhou subsequently replaces him as Yaoguang's new Saint Son. 114 118
