Background

Journey from Mount Tai

Pang Bo was among Ye Fan’s companions caught in the Nine Dragon Pulling Coffin incident at Mount Tai. After confirming his identity, he reunited with Ye Fan and helped examine the coffin’s carvings, using his knowledge to explain the distinction between its outer and inner coffins. 2

On Mars, he followed Ye Fan and Lu Zhou toward the distant light source. He later accepted a Saint Fruit from Lu Zhou and eagerly ate it alongside Ye Fan, gaining abundant energy. 2 6 At the Great Thunderclap Temple, Ye Fan entrusted him with the Bronze Ancient Lamp to search for Buddhist artifacts. 3

Pang Bo proved physically powerful and fearless during the attack by the Crocodile Ancestor’s descendants. He followed Lu Zhou and Ye Fan back toward the Bronze Coffin and helped fight the creatures threatening the group. 3

Possession by Wan Nian

Because Pang Bo had consumed a Saint Fruit and possessed a Great Demon bloodline, Wan Nian—the Nineteenth Ancestor of Yan Ruyu and a descendant of the Azure Emperor—selected his body as a suitable vessel. Pang Bo was left confined within his own body and later restricted to an altar, unable to move freely. 44 137 138

Lu Zhou resolved the crisis by providing Wan Nian with the Crown Prince’s body, which possessed a purer Phoenix Demon bloodline than Pang Bo’s. Wan Nian transferred his consciousness into the new body, allowing Pang Bo to reclaim his own body and freedom. 137

The ordeal ultimately gave Pang Bo access to the Demon Emperor Scripture and the Demon Emperor Nine Slashes. 47 After his release, he celebrated with Lu Zhou, expressing gratitude for being saved and declaring his willingness to risk his life for him. 138

Later Travels

Pang Bo continued traveling with Ye Fan, Lu Zhou, the Black Emperor, Tu Fei, and other allies. He used Demon Race channels to track Li Rui to the Ice Snow Palace, but he and Ye Fan delayed acting out of consideration for Lu Zhou’s position within Yaoguang Holy Land. 159

He entered the Qi Shi Mansion, joined Ye Fan and Lu Zhou, and participated in robbing the Immoral Taoist alongside Ye Fan and Dongfang Ye. 257 He also accompanied Lu Zhou’s group into the Immortal Burial Ground, where he urged the others to follow Lu Zhou after spotting a potential treasure. 258

After Lu Zhou returned to Earth, Pang Bo learned that his parents were safe and had received cultivation guidance from Lu Zhou. He later watched videos and received food and messages sent by his parents, becoming deeply emotional. 292 297 298

Pang Bo returned to Earth with Lu Zhou and Ye Fan, reunited with his family, but found the peaceful mortal world increasingly difficult to adapt to. He chose the path of further cultivation and eventually departed the Big Dipper through the Ancient Starry Road. 347 352 442
