Arc 29The Kunlun Feud

Hun Xiu hid on Mount West Kunlun, clashed with Queen Mother of the West, and killed Old Man of the South Pole, drawing Chanjiao and the Western Saints into conflict. Tongtian fought Primeval Lord of Heaven, while Hun Xiu remained on Mount West Kunlun as the calamity loomed.

  • Hun Xiu bypassed Mount West Kunlun’s formations, encountered Queen Mother of the West bathing, and stopped her golden-dragon sword with the Power of Law.
  • Queen Mother of the West learned Hun Xiu belonged to Jiejiao, while Primeval Lord of Heaven suspected the Two Western Saints of plotting to pit Chanjiao against Jiejiao.

Arc 30The War of the Saints

Hun Xiu disguised himself to turn the Western Sect and Chanjiao against one another, killing several Chanjiao disciples and provoking a clash among the Saints. The arc left Primeval Lord of Heaven fighting Daoist Jieyin in Chaos while Hun Xiu withdrew after his clone was captured at Mount Kunlun.

  • Hun Xiu disguised himself as Shi Hao, tricked Maitreya and Ksitigarbha into taking Taiyi Zhenren’s treasures, then killed Taiyi Zhenren and sent his True Spirit to the Investiture of the Gods List.
  • Maitreya and Ksitigarbha confessed their part in Taiyi Zhenren’s death, but Primeval Lord of Heaven agreed to set aside the dispute if the Western Sect helped find the culprit.

Arc 31Hun Xiu Returns to Jiejiao

After the Saints’ battle, Hun Xiu escaped Primeval Lord of Heaven and returned to Golden Turtle Island, where his strength astonished Sect Master Tongtian. He punished Long-Eared Immortal of Fixed Light, while the disciple schemed with Chanjiao and was later attacked by the Three Xiao sisters.

  • Sect Master Tongtian trapped Daoist Jieyin and Daoist Zhunti in the Immortal Slaying Sword Formation until Hongjun ordered him to withdraw it, then Primeval Lord of Heaven took Hun Xiu to Mount Kunlun.

Arc 32The Investiture Calamity

Hun Xiu gained control of the Investiture of the Gods List and God Striking Whip, then exploited the calamity to send disciples from Chanjiao, the Western Sect, and Renjiao onto the list. The Saints hunted him while their treasures ended up with Ancestor Minghe and Demon Master Kunpeng.

  • Hun Xiu obtained the Investiture of the Gods List and God Striking Whip from Hongjun, bound both treasures to himself, and learned that the calamity required three Saints and many cultivators to be listed.
  • Hongjun told the Six Saints about the list’s requirements, and their attempt to force Nuwa onto it failed after she broke Sect Master Tongtian’s Immortal Slaying Sword Formation.
