Hun Xiu killed the Saints and Primordial Great Powers who opposed him, completed the Investiture of the Gods List, and vanished from the Primordial World after the tribulation ended. He reappeared in Douluo Continent as Qian Xunji, learned that he must help Spirit Hall unify the continent, and handed Bibi Dong the position of Pope.

• Primeval Lord of Heaven destroyed the Demon Master Palace, so Nuwa confronted him and Taishang Laozi before Hongjun sent the Saints to settle their fight in Chaos.
• Nuwa suppressed Primeval Lord of Heaven and took the Pangu Banner, but Tongtian freed him, and Hun Xiu intercepted the Taiji Diagram before revealing his role in destroying the Three Sects.
• Hun Xiu and Nuwa killed Zhunti, Primeval Lord of Heaven, Taishang Laozi, and Jieyin, then Hun Xiu revealed that he owned the Investiture of the Gods List and sent the gathered Primordial Great Powers onto it.
• Hun Xiu filled the list with Jiejiao disciples and evil Golden Immortal cultivators, strengthened Jiejiao, and became a Saint before a white beam carried him out of the Primordial World.
• Hun Xiu met System Xiao Yi, who sent him to Douluo Continent, where he emerged from Qian Xunji’s grave and confused Qian Renxue, Bibi Dong, and Qian Daoliu by denying he was Qian Xunji.
• System Xiao Yi explained that Hun Xiu had to help Spirit Hall unify Douluo Continent and help Bibi Dong and Qian Renxue become gods, while promising to raise his soul power and upgrade his soul rings.
• Hun Xiu returned to Spirit Hall, told Qian Daoliu that Tang Hao had killed him, and agreed to enter seclusion while Qian Daoliu backed Bibi Dong as the next Pope.
• Hun Xiu summoned Bibi Dong to the secret chamber and gave her the Pope’s token, leaving her confused when he said Qian Daoliu would support her.

Hun Xiu subdued Spirit Hall’s enemies, coerced Tang Hao and the Haotian Sect, and turned Spirit Hall into the Spirit Empire. As Hun Xiu moved toward Heaven Dou City, Ning Fengzhi and Gu Rong urged Xue Qinghe to take the throne, but Xue Qinghe refused to seize it from Emperor Xue Ye.

• Hun Xiu fused his nine Hundred Thousand Year Soul Rings, defeated Tang Hao at Spirit Hall, and forced Tang San to join while Tang Hao and Xiao Wu were held captive.
• Hun Xiu recruited Dugu Bo, imprisoned Yu Xiaogang and Liu Erlong, and used A Yin to compel Tang Hao to bring the Haotian Sect under Spirit Hall’s control.
• Tang Hao and Tang Xiao attempted to deceive Hun Xiu, but Hun Xiu destroyed A Yin’s Blue Silver Grass, killed Tang Xiao, and imprisoned Tang Hao.
• Hun Xiu stopped Bibi Dong from killing Tang San, then revealed Yu Xiaogang’s past motives to Bibi Dong, who left Yu Xiaogang and Liu Erlong alive.
• Spirit Hall became the Spirit Empire, and Hun Xiu traveled toward Heaven Dou City with five Enshrined Elders while the empire’s scouts followed.
• Ning Fengzhi and Gu Rong enlisted Yu Yuanzhen’s support for replacing Emperor Xue Ye with Xue Qinghe, and Yu agreed if Xue Qinghe accepted the throne.
• Ning Fengzhi and Gu Rong asked Xue Qinghe to become emperor, but Xue Qinghe refused to take a throne that Emperor Xue Ye had not given him.

Hun Xiu brought the Heaven Dou and Star Luo Empires, the major sects, and the Star Dou Great Forest under Spirit Hall’s control, then secured Sea God Island’s submission. Tang San returned with the Sea God Trident and drew the Sea God’s attention as a potential successor.

• Xue Qinghe took the Heaven Dou throne as Emperor Qinghe, while Hun Xiu forced the Haotian Sect, Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect, and Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Family to submit to Spirit Hall.
• Hun Xiu revealed A Yin to Tang San, who accepted her as his mother and learned that she had killed Tang Hao, then secretly resolved to surpass Hun Xiu.
• Qian Renxue put down a rebellion in Heaven Dou, returned to Spirit Hall, and reunited with Bibi Dong as the Spirit Empire absorbed the Heaven Dou Empire.
• Tang San awakened his Blue Silver Sovereign, persuaded Dai Mubai to surrender Star Luo, and became Spirit Hall’s Holy Son, while Hun Xiu arranged his engagement to Xiao Wu.
• Hun Xiu defeated the Azure Sky Bull Python and Titan Giant Ape, and Xiao Wu secured their agreement to submit on the condition that the forest’s soul beasts would not be kept as pets.
• Hun Xiu defeated Bo Saixi, brought Sea God Island into the Spirit Empire while allowing it to retain local authority, and took the Sea God Trident for Tang San.
• Hun Xiu destroyed the City of Slaughter, killed the Nine-Headed Bat King, and watched Tang Chen self-destruct after asking him to pass a message to Bo Saixi.
• Tang San and Xiao Wu returned with Da Ming and Er Ming’s agreement to submit, and Hun Xiu gave Tang San the Sea God Trident, which recognized him as its master.

Hun Xiu sent Tang San to Sea God Island, where Tang San eventually became the Sea God and was killed by Hun Xiu. Hun Xiu then defeated Zhou Yuan and Li Luo, subdued Yao Yao and Jiang Qing'e, and entered the Great Thousand World, where he reunited with Medusa.

• Hun Xiu sent Tang San, Xiao Wu, and Ning Rongrong to Sea God Island with Golden Crocodile Douluo, where Tang San began the Sea God’s trials.
• Bibi Dong became a god and retook control of the Spirit Empire, while Hun Xiu helped Qian Renxue inherit the Angel God’s power.
• Tang San completed the Sea God’s trials, but Hun Xiu crushed the Sea God Trident, defeated him, and killed him.
• Hun Xiu told A Yin that Tang San had occupied her dead son’s body, and she chose Hun Xiu over Tang San.
• Hun Xiu returned to the Battle Through the Heavens Universe, defeated Zhou Yuan and Li Luo, and absorbed the Heavenly Dao after they refused to submit.
• Yao Yao and Jiang Qing'e fought Hun Xiu and eventually submitted to him, resolving to grow stronger and avenge their humiliation.
• Hun Xiu entered the Hall of Souls’ disciple selection in the Great Thousand World, then secretly reunited with Medusa and agreed to stay with her for a few days.
