Gu Yuena met Dan Heng through a marriage arrangement and openly pursued him despite his initial lack of interest. She was immediately satisfied with him and regarded him with intense interest and affection 1.

After learning that Zhu Zhuqing was tied to the Star Luo Royal Family, Gu Yuena recognized an opportunity to build influence for a future plan involving Dan Heng.
