"What is that?"
The Youth froze for a moment, unable to process it.
Fur Coat Man handed him the binoculars.
The Youth raised them and looked toward the shadows in the distance.
What entered his view were the vague outlines of vehicles of all sizes, seemingly painted in snow camouflage, densely surging toward their position.
The binoculars had built-in low-light enhancement and night vision, but under the night sky, this was all they could make out.
Still, it was enough to make a simple judgment.
"W-what is that?"
The Youth was momentarily at a loss for words.
"An army."
Fur Coat Man calmly took the binoculars back from him.
"Are they headed for Mint City?"
The Youth's eyes widened slightly.
Mint City was the only city in that direction.
"How much power does your armor have left?"
Rather than answering the Youth's question, Fur Coat Man asked slowly.
"More than sixty percent."
The Youth checked the charge and replied quickly. "We also have two spare batteries in our bags."
Bang--
Before he could finish, he saw Fur Coat Man remove the battery from the Exoskeleton Armor on his chest and hand it to him.
Then, under the Youth's puzzled gaze, Fur Coat Man said quickly, "They're marching through the snow at night. They'll definitely be attacked by mutated beasts, so they won't be moving very fast."
He stuffed the battery into the Youth's arms. "Go back immediately. Run your armor at maximum power and deliver the news. Leave it to the people in the city to judge whether they're really coming for Mint City. Take the others and get the information back as fast as you can."
"Chief..."
The Youth looked at Fur Coat Man, momentarily stunned. "What about you?"
"I'll stay here. Someone needs to keep watch on them.
