Background

Goetia originated as a special maintenance spell left behind by Solomon to safeguard humanity; Solomon regarded the creation as his son. After Solomon's disappearance, Goetia emerged from the maintenance circle in the Temple of Time, claiming to be the Magic King's successor and using Solomon's legacy and body. The Seventy-Two Demon God Pillars eventually accepted him as a remnant of their absent king. 287 290

Believing humanity's future would inevitably end in destruction, Goetia concluded that human history itself was flawed. His proposed mercy was Humanity Incineration: return the planet to its beginning, become a new celestial body, and create a deathless perfect world through his own hands. His motive was not simple hatred, but a distorted desire to save humanity and earn Solomon's recognition. 290 457 462

Goetia led the Demon God Pillars for millennia, planning Singularities around pivotal eras of human history and distributing Holy Grails to advance his project. He considered eras such as the Crusades and Mesopotamia essential points in humanity's development and manipulated them accordingly. 215 290

Personality

Goetia is proud, contemptuous, and intensely competitive. He considers ordinary humans frail and disappointing, often dismissing gods and humans alike as fundamentally unworthy. He initially treats powerful Servants as beneath notice and regards intervention in his plans as an insult. 361 380 409

His arrogance conceals a deep need for recognition from Solomon. Goetia wants to prove that humanity needs him and that he is more capable than the king who created him. This fixation drives both his Humanity Incineration plan and his repeated attempts to force “Solomon” to acknowledge his worth. 290 291

Despite his disdain for humanity as a whole, Goetia recognizes individual greatness. He respects people whose souls shine through courage and conviction, including Ozymandias, whom he deliberately allowed time to recover before their battle. 277

After his conflict with Rovey, Goetia gradually becomes less hostile. He still hides concern behind insults and feigned indifference, but repeatedly intervenes to protect Rovey and Uruk. 361 369 384 409

Goetia enters Ozymandias's Great Temple of Radiance with several Demon God Pillars to seize its Holy Grail. He effortlessly removes the temple's divine protections, negates Ozymandias's Noble Phantasms with Nega Summon, and withstands the Sun King's final divine attack by revealing his merged form with the seventy-two Pillars. 278 279

Ozymandias and Arash delay him long enough to mount a final defense, but Goetia ultimately obtains the Holy Grail and proceeds toward Camelot. 279 280

False Solomon and the Abandoned Incineration

When Goetia blocks Chaldea's path, Rovey impersonates Solomon with the latter's ring, royal attire, and a divine light granted through Revelation. Goetia is shaken by the apparent return of the king he has sought for millennia, while the Demon God Pillars hesitate to attack the figure they believe is their true king. 288 289

Rovey proposes a wager: after the Singularities are repaired, they will discuss Humanity Incineration again. Goetia accepts and withdraws with the Demon God Pillars rather than fight. 289 290

Goetia later tries to interfere with the Seventh Singularity, intending to create a crisis that will force Solomon to seek his assistance. His own Pillars turn against him, restrain him with the Temple's mechanisms, take the Ten Commandments, and leave him weakened. 291 316 321

Tiamat's Release and Uneasy Alliance

Disillusioned by the Pillars' betrayal, Goetia enters the Imaginary Numbers World and releases Tiamat to create a disaster that will compel Rovey to depend on him. Tiamat rejects his control, attacks him, and forces him to retreat from their initial battle. 322 323 325

When Tiamat's Eleven Children threaten Uruk, Goetia initially watches without intervening. Seeing Rovey use the halo's energy, however, he kills Musmahhū and Ugallu, then agrees to help eliminate the remaining Children after Rovey directly asks for his aid. 361 369 370

Goetia later appears during Tiamat's final advance, destroys vast numbers of Lahmu, and takes responsibility for holding back Tiamat's attacks so Rovey can carry out his plan. 408 409

Final Confrontation with Rovey

After Tiamat is turned human, Goetia demands a final answer from Rovey. Rovey answers with a wrestling match in which neither side may rely on powers unfair to the other. 412 413

To make the match equal, Goetia abandons Solomon's corpse and Beast immortality, while Rovey sets aside the Ten Commandments. Goetia fights in his own fading true form, burns his life energy in desperation, and asks why Solomon could love humanity despite its weakness and ugliness. 413 414 416

Rovey saves Goetia rather than allowing him to disappear, then entrusts him with the Temple of Time, the Ten Commandments, and the duty to defeat future threats to Earth. Goetia accepts the responsibility. 416

Conflict with the Foreign God

At the Temple of Time, Goetia confronts the Foreign God inhabiting a vessel identical to Olga-Marie Animusphere. He opposes her attempt to correct and rule humanity from above, viewing her methods as no better than his former arrogance. 457 458

Goetia battles the Foreign God with the Temple of Time, the Greater Light Wheel, and the Humanity Order Cannon. Rovey ultimately defeats the Foreign God, after which Goetia remains aligned with Rovey and openly rebukes Roman for questioning the king. 459 460
