Holy Emperor and Bearing

Before the central hall, Su Yun and the crown prince stood facing each other. At such close range, killing Su Yun would have been as easy as turning a hand for the crown prince, yet he did not dare make a move.

The crown prince paused for a moment. "Allow me some time to consider."

Su Yun smiled. "Then the Divine Emperor may stay here with me and consider it at leisure."

The crown prince thanked him and bowed slightly. "I shall trouble you, then."

Su Yun ordered someone to lead the crown prince, Jing Qiuye, and the others away and arrange residences for them in the Imperial Capital. The Jade Crown Prince stepped forward and asked, "The Divine Emperor infiltrated the Imperial Court, coming and going like a ghost. Even the First Sword Array could not stop him. Should we keep them under strict surveillance?"

Su Yun shook his head. "No need. I kept him here and had him live in the Imperial Capital precisely so he could see the bearing of my realm."
