Background / History

Di Feng was originally the Evil Emperor's disciple. He seized power from his teacher and became the Immortal Court's Heavenly Emperor, establishing himself through ruthless ambition, political calculation, and overwhelming cultivation 616 687.

Drawing on subtleties within the Evil Emperor's Taiyi Tiandu Molun Sutra, Di Feng created the Nine Profound Undying Technique. The technique refined the body, Dao, and cultivation into an extraordinary regenerative system, becoming the foundation of his power and longevity 648 652 747.

To forge an unparalleled Emperor Sword, Di Feng used rebels and traitors as furnace fuel in the Immortal Burning Furnace. He sought to temper its Sword Pellet beyond both the Immortal Burning Furnace and the Four Extremes Cauldron, making it the greatest supreme treasure in history 585 725.

His later plans included the “Wedding Dress Plan”: cultivating a First Immortal of the Seventh Immortal Realm to rule it, then consuming that First Immortal for himself. His excessive caution exposed this scheme before it could be completed 643.

Personality

Di Feng was ambitious, calculating, and deeply suspicious. He withheld the complete Nine Profound Undying Technique even from favored disciples because he feared that a successor might use it to usurp him 815.

He was also exceptionally gifted. Even while crippled by Dao injuries, he created new Sword Dao moves in battle, learned much of Su Yun's Dao Stops Here through observation, and used it to cut away the harmful imprint within his own technique 726 727.

His confidence regularly became arrogance. He dismissed rivals as traitors and believed himself able to dictate the fate of the Immortal Realm, yet his caution and desire to control every variable repeatedly isolated him from allies and disciples 643 731 839.

Abilities & Skills

Supreme Sword Dao

Di Feng was one of the foremost Sword Dao practitioners from the First Era onward. His Emperor Sword Dao could suppress other divine abilities, strike through space and time, and continuously evolve under combat pressure 726 840 884.

  • Wields Sword Dao Spiritual Power capable of confronting Emperor-level opponents directly. 689 840
  • Creates new sword moves during battle rather than relying solely on established techniques. 726
  • Comprehended much of Su Yun's Dao Stops Here and used it to sever the harmful cultivation imprint in his Nine Profound Undying Technique. 727
  • Developed a Tenth Heaven-derived sword move that wounded the Evil Emperor in both past and future. 747
  • His Sword Dao could be suppressed or exceeded by Su Yun when Su Yun drew upon greater external sword intent. 884 918

Nine Profound Undying Technique

Di Feng's self-created cultivation method fused physical refinement, regeneration, and Dao attainment. It granted him an extraordinarily resilient body and the ability to recover from otherwise fatal damage 652 843.

  • Rapidly restores physical wounds, including severe damage caused by the First Sword Array Diagram. 843
  • Allows his severed Imperial Heart to begin forming another body. 747
  • Reinforces his physical body to a level approaching Emperor Zhao's ancient body. 843
  • Can coexist with other high-level techniques, as demonstrated by Xiao Guihong's fusion of it with the Taiyi Tiandu Molun Sutra. 648
  • Its principal weakness is sustained damage to the same wound or Dao-level analysis of the technique's underlying structure. 725
  • Di Shu deciphered the technique at the Dao level, leaving Di Feng with injuries that could not be fully healed. 725 749

Strategic Planning

Di Feng combined cultivation with long-term political schemes, using disciples, supreme treasures, and factional struggles to preserve his rule 643 815.

  • Formulated the Wedding Dress Plan to exploit a First Immortal of the Seventh Immortal Realm. 643
  • Cultivated and manipulated disciples while concealing his true intentions from them. 647 815
  • Used the Four Extremes Cauldron's attack on the Thunder Pool Grotto-Heaven to regain support within the Immortal Realm. 747
  • Ordered the pursuit and extermination of Di Shu's rebels while treating Su Yun as a major threat to his authority. 726 731

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • Emperor Sword Sword Pellet — An Immortal Dao supreme treasure formed from countless swords. It could split into defensive Sword Pellets or unite into a single Emperor Sword. 616 840 843
  • Damaged Emperor Sword — After suffering repeated setbacks, Di Feng continued fighting with broken swords gathered into new pellets and sword formations. 726 747
  • Myriad Transformations Incinerating Immortal Furnace — Used by Di Feng to temper the Emperor Sword Sword Pellet toward becoming the foremost supreme treasure. 585
  • Imperial Heart — A heart with terrifying vitality that could act independently and begin forming another Di Feng after being removed from his body. 747
