Background / History

Hua was a Flame-Chaser from the Previous Civilization. Over fifty thousand years later, she remains remembered as one of its most outstanding members, though much of her past was obscured by severe injuries and memory loss. Divine Sound created the “invincible” Immortal Crimson Heron but also trapped her in a mental cage that steadily eroded her original self; the swords that later struck her damaged this cage enough to give her partial freedom. 96 127

In Shenzhou, Fu Hua became the legendary Immortal Crimson Heron and founded the Great Void Sword School. She once held most of the Keys of Domination at Mount Taixu, though many were later damaged or lost. 38 56

At St. Freya Academy, Fu Hua maintained the outward role of a calm class monitor while concealing her aura with glasses. Anqi repeatedly watched her morning practice before challenging her to a duel. When Anqi deliberately held back rather than hurt her, Fu Hua recognized both her talent and self-restraint, deciding to watch over her closely. 10 11 177

Fu Hua initially refused Anqi’s request for martial instruction, believing the true techniques of Taixu Sword Qi required talent possessed by fewer than one percent of people and that revealing them could compromise her own cover. Anqi’s Honkai Energy Corrosion Syndrome changed her decision: Fu Hua accepted her as a disciple in order to prolong her life and began teaching her the Sword Heart Incantation. 36 37 38

During the Chiyou crisis, Fu Hua encountered Ji Lin, an ancient acquaintance who recognized her as Crimson Kite. Though Ji Lin’s near-Herrscher physiology alarmed her, Fu Hua chose to protect and accompany her rather than abandon her. She dueled Ji Lin until the corruption dissipated, then brought her to Great Void Mountain rather than leave her exposed to Otto’s scrutiny. 62 65 69

After returning to Great Void Mountain, Fu Hua underwent a fourteen-day treatment arranged by Cang Xiaoxuan. The treatment restored her body and freed her to fight with previously impossible passion, but it also removed her Sword Heart; she chose to rebuild her strength through her renewed physical body rather than cultivate the Sword Heart again. 126 128

When Anqi’s Herrscher nature threatened to overwhelm her humanity, Fu Hua defied Skyfire and Schicksal’s intervention, insisting that Great Void Mountain would resolve its own affairs. She continued to trust Anqi even when the outcome was uncertain. 177 178

Fu Hua later faced Kevin in the decisive battle. Though they had been comrades for fifty thousand years, they fought as enemies to protect their respective convictions; Fu Hua entered the battle determined to defend the era and the people she had grown attached to. 335 337

Fu Hua is a petite, refined young woman with gray hair, emerald eyes, and a composed expression. She commonly wears glasses, both as part of her student appearance and to conceal her aura. 10 51 177
