"No!"
Ryuseki shouted and quickly opened his eyes, only to see his older brother, Kouhi, sitting by his bed with a smile, looking at him.
"Waaah~" Ryuseki's first reaction upon seeing his brother was to scream and tremble.
This was Ryuseki's home. He was currently in his own house. The feeling just now had been so real, but the moment he woke up, he realized it had been a dream. Yet, the dream was so real, so real it made his scalp tingle with fear.
"What's wrong?" Kouhi asked, smiling at Ryuseki. "Did you have a nightmare?"
Even though Kouhi's smile was so bright and gave off a warm feeling, Ryuseki's reaction was severe. But then again, Kouhi's aura always made people feel secure, completely different from his reckless younger brother.
"N-nothing!" Ryuseki quickly wiped the sweat from his forehead and looked at his brother Kouhi again.
How could he explain that the person who wanted to kill him in his dream was right in front of him? Even the closest person would evoke some reservations. Moreover, he was still shaken. What if he hadn't woken up...
"Bro? Why are you here?"
"I heard you shouting in your room and came to check. What's wrong?"
As Kouhi spoke, he walked to the window and pulled open the curtains. The soft morning sunlight streamed through the window, casting a warm glow on his body.
"No, it's nothing!" Despite the warm sunlight, Ryuseki's voice still trembled like a frozen bird. The fear in his heart hadn't completely disappeared even after waking up.
Although he didn't know what Ryuseki was afraid of, Kouhi understood that staying there longer would be pointless. He left to let Ryuseki calm down alone.
"Alright then!" Kouhi smiled warmly. "If you're okay, come downstairs for breakfast later!" With that, he walked towards the hallway and closed the door.
Ryuseki turned his head and looked out the window, letting out a sigh of relief. Just then, a bird flew to the window. The bird tilted its head, looked in Ryuseki's direction, and then flew away. Ryuseki reached out and touched his pillow, only to be surprised to find it soaked with sweat.
"It's completely soaked!"
After a quick breakfast, an impatient Ryuseki hurried to call Meisha, and the two of them rushed to the hospital to visit Lin Yingbin and Ryuu Mufei. Ryuseki remained silent the entire way, his mind still replaying the events of his dream.
"What's wrong? Your complexion is bad, are you catching a cold?" Meisha asked cautiously, staring at Ryuseki's face.
"N-nothing. I just didn't sleep well last night. Can you stop staring at me like that?"
Ryuseki suddenly felt awkward under Meisha's gaze and deliberately avoided her eyes.
Hearing this, Meisha feigned surprise and replied, "Oh? Really? You actually have times when you can't sleep?"
Chatting and bickering, they arrived at the hospital and took the elevator to the fifth floor. However, in the dim and narrow elevator space, that slight feeling of fear once again washed over Ryuseki's heart.
The elevator doors opened. They had reached the fifth floor. The two of them stepped out of the elevator.
"I really hope those two get better soon!" Ryuseki said to Meisha with a forced smile.
"Hey, hey, hey! Why haven't I seen you care about me this much?" Meisha pouted, looking displeased.
Ryuseki chuckled and said, "You?! You're not injured!"
Then, realizing something, Ryuseki's expression suddenly changed. He put on a lecherous look and gazed at Meisha.
"Hey! I say, are you jealous!" He then looked at Meisha with a seemingly affectionate expression. "Hey! Meisha! Are you okay!"
"Cut it out!" Meisha pushed Ryuseki away.
A nurse nearby, witnessing their playful banter, covered her mouth and giggled!
As they spoke, they arrived at the hospital room door.
Creak... Swish... The door opened! A gust of cold wind blew in! Hospital rooms were usually warmer than the outside, so why was there cold air?
"You're still feeling hot, and you're opening..."
Before they could finish speaking, both of them were stunned by the scene in the room. Both hospital beds were empty, with the blankets scattered messily. Lin Yingbin was lying on the floor, appearing to have fainted. Ryuu Mufei was nowhere to be found, and the glass on the window was shattered into pieces, yet there were no glass shards on the ground.
"How could this be? Could it be that he (Lin Yingbin) went crazy again! And threw Ryuu Mufei out the window!" Meisha speculated.
"I don't think so!" Ryuseki paused, scanning everything around him.
The surroundings weren't too messy; things were still in their original positions. Then, he found something on Ryuu Mufei's bedside table. As he spoke, he walked over.
"Ah?! How did you know?" Meisha asked.
"If Lin Yingbin had gone crazy, the entire hospital would probably..." Then, Ryuseki handed the note from Ryuu Mufei's bed to Meisha. "And look at this!"
Meisha took the note! And looked at what was written on it.
