Background / History

Ryuu Mufei is the son of the Psychokinetic Clan’s leader. Although his clan is among the Five Great Clans, he once attended a school under a confidential identity because the clan faced fear and ostracism in that country. During this period, he intervened when Mo E threatened a woman with a utility knife, physically subdued him, and later used psychokinesis after Mo E exposed his identity. The exposure frightened the woman and contributed to Mo E’s violent expulsion and lasting resentment toward Ryuu. 50

As a child, Ryuu attended a meeting between his father and Zhi. Zhi’s aura terrified him so deeply that he cried for a month afterward; he later described the experience as meeting a demon carrying the “scent of death.” 16

He transferred into Ryuseki and Lin Yingbin’s class while investigating signs that Zhi’s lair was in Huabolia Country. His stated objective was to defeat Zhi, who had already annihilated the Frost Clan and Corpse Soul Clan. 9 16

After helping Ryuseki and Lin Yingbin confront Lin’s uncontrolled state, Ryuu was gravely wounded while protecting Meisha from Lin’s attack. He was later abducted from the hospital by Zhi’s forces and chained in a freezing prison, where Mo E prepared to kill him with venom. 41 47 48 50
