Realm Structure

The Nascent Soul Realm is divided into tribulations. Each successful tribulation transforms the cultivator's Nascent Soul and mana; the first four tribulations chiefly build the foundation, increasing both power and lifespan 687.

• First to Fourth Tribulations — A period of accumulation, repeated transformation, and foundation-building. The fourth tribulation is recognized as the beginning of the Nascent Soul Middle Stage 546 687.
• Fifth Tribulation and beyond — Cultivators may attempt to comprehend Spatial Laws. Those who do gain access to techniques and capacities fundamentally beyond Nascent Souls who have not begun this comprehension 687.

Entering the Nascent Soul Realm

A Golden Core cultivator must first develop a sufficiently strong foundation. A cultivator may attempt a Nascent Soul breakthrough after forming a Golden Core at the Seventh Revolution, but this carries a high risk of failure and leaves limited future potential. Eighth- or Ninth-Revolution Golden Cores provide a much more stable foundation 420.

Lu Qing's Great Dao Nascent Soul Tribulation consisted of three forms of tribulation:

• Body Tribulation
• Qi Tribulation
• Soul Tribulation

• Nascent Soul cultivators possess greatly increased vitality and may recover from catastrophic bodily injuries as long as their Nascent Soul and life force survive 684.
• Destroying a cultivator's Nascent Soul is fatal, even if their physical body has not yet fully perished 626 627.
• Lu Qing's unique gray mana, formed through the fusion of several cultivation paths, was already comparable to the mana of Fourth Tribulation Peak cultivators immediately after his breakthrough 687.

Divine Soul Perception

A Nascent Soul can leave the physical body and act through Divine Soul perception, although an initial-stage Nascent Soul cannot remain separated for too long 716.

• Nascent Soul cultivators can perceive the fluctuations of a world's World Origin, which ordinary cultivators cannot detect 716.
• A powerful Nascent Soul's Divine Sense may be restricted by special environments, formations, or the suppression of major secret realms 730.
• Lu Qing's transformed Tenth Tribulation Nascent Soul can perceive the Sea of Laws with extraordinary clarity and can enter the Integration Realm whenever he chooses to merge his Divine Sense with a Great Dao 822.

Dharma Body

Nascent Soul cultivators who have passed at least four tribulations can divide their Nascent Soul and manifest a Dharma Body 546.

• A Dharma Body can be projected through a curse mark or similar medium.
• Its manifestation requires a Nascent Soul cultivator who has begun to comprehend Spatial Laws.
• Even a divided spirit from a Four Tribulation cultivator is a serious threat to lower-realm cultivators 546.

Spatial Laws

Comprehension of Spatial Laws becomes possible after the Fifth Tribulation, once the Nascent Soul has been tempered to an extreme level 687.

• A cultivator who comprehends Spatial Laws may open an internal Purple Mansion space, increasing their mana capacity by a hundredfold or more 687.
• Spatial Law users can perform otherwise inconceivable attacks and movements 687.
• Veteran Nascent Souls who have endured multiple tribulations may master spatial transference, though the art is exceptionally profound 514.
• Crossing the World Membrane between worlds requires either an exceptionally advanced Nascent Soul expert with realm-shattering spatial abilities or a teleportation array 546.

Perfected Nascent Soul

The Great Dao Chapter records Perfected Nascent Souls as a superior form of Nascent Soul with a theoretical Twelve Tribulation limit 687.

Lu Qing's Perfected Nascent Soul is notably stronger than the version described in the Great Dao Chapter:

• A Nascent Soul cultivator's power may be severely suppressed by formations, secret-realm laws, or environments that restrict space and divine sense 687 730.
• Initial-stage Nascent Souls cannot generally keep their Nascent Soul separated from their physical body for extended periods 716.
• The path beyond the Fifth Tribulation depends heavily on Great Dao comprehension; most cultivators cannot truly perceive the complete form of the Great Dao of Space even across a lifetime 754.
• An ordinary Nascent Soul cultivator cannot merge their Divine Sense with more than one Great Dao before reaching the Integration Realm. Attempting to unite with two at once is described as fatal 819.
