Background / History

Luo Li is one of the last surviving members of the Luo God Clan’s royal bloodline. Her grandfather, Luo Tianshen, raised her amid the clan’s internal decline and external conflicts. Her father died on the battlefield against the Strength God Clan, and the burden of preserving the Luo God Clan was placed on her from a young age 142 146.

She spent over a year on the Spiritual Road, where she competed for the Spiritual Crown against Ji Xuan and Wen Qingxuan. She refused Ji Xuan’s proposal of a temporary alliance and answered him with a sword strike instead 141. Upon leaving the Spiritual Road, she reunited with Luo Tianshen and first met Bai Ye, her direct royal-blooded brother 132 141.

At the Four Gods Ceremony, Luo Li and Bai Ye were the Luo God Clan’s only participants in the Secret Realm. Though the other divine clans targeted the Luo God Clan’s proof, she remained focused on fulfilling her duty as Young Clan Leader 144 154. When Bai Ye lost consciousness in the midst of hostile Blood God Clan and Strength God Clan forces, she chose to protect him, drew the Luo God Sword, and devastated the Blood God Clan’s forces 152 153.

Luo Li and Bai Ye ultimately acquired both the Luo God Clan and Blood God Clan proofs. Their success strengthened her position as Empress and earned her the Thunder Crane Army’s support 159 160. Before Bai Ye departed, he entrusted her with a copied Spirit Art from the Luo God legacy; she formally addressed him as “Brother” in their farewell 161.

She does not easily display emotion, but her aloofness developed from losing relatives early and being prepared to shoulder the Luo God Clan’s future 142. Even when enemies discuss dividing the credit for killing her, she remains expressionless and assesses the situation with clear judgment 152.

Her sense of responsibility is central to her decisions. She seeks the Northern Azure Spiritual Academy not to abandon the Luo God Clan, but to grow strong enough to protect it. When Bai Ye questions why she bears the clan’s rise and fall, she is initially taken aback because no one had previously asked her whether she wanted that burden 143 154.

Despite her cold exterior, Luo Li is kind-hearted and deeply loyal. Bai Ye judges her to be decisive and lethal when needed without losing her compassion 154. Her relationship with Bai Ye gradually gives her a familial connection without the pressure she associates with her position, and she comes to value his uncomplicated concern for her 299.
