Background and History

Yan Zhuixing secretly cultivated the Great Demonic Art from the Demon Codex on Wuji Island. To forge a Demonic Body, he underwent the Seven Stars Blood Stab Technique, consuming the Nascent Souls and vital blood of seven late Nascent Soul cultivators. The ordeal changed his temperament and left him briefly unable to control himself; after breaking free of profound-iron restraints, he appeared before his father Yan Bugui with blood-red eyes and an unrecognizable appearance. 369 370

He entered Yue Qianchou's Blade Drawing Tournament accompanied by Man Hu and six other late Tribulation Transcendence cultivators. His Demonic Body absorbed the sabers' evil aura and resisted their black fire, but he abandoned the attempt to draw them despite remaining unharmed. 373 376

Bing Chengzi later revealed that Yan Zhuixing was the sole inheritor of the Ancient Demonic Path in the human world. Pursued by multiple factions after his demonic cultivation became public, Yan Zhuixing used Blood Orchids, human sacrifice, and devoured Nascent Souls to advance his arts. Yue Qianchou seemingly reduced Yan Zhuixing to a desiccated corpse with the Star Absorbing Great Method, but Yan Zhuixing survived through Blood Escape. Bing Chengzi recovered him and used the Blood Demon Body Refinement Technique to regrow his severed arm, though the recovery cost him cultivation. 694 703

After Yue Qianchou defeated him again at Lingfang Valley, Yan Zhuixing's intact primordial spirit possessed Shou Chen's body. The new body had already forged a Demonic Body, allowing him to preserve his sanity and resume cultivation under a new identity. In the Myriad Demon Palace, Yan Zhuixing learned that the Black Moon Futu was the Demon Blade, a divine weapon from the Demon Realm that could fully display its power only through a compatible demonic technique. Although he coveted Lu Yanqing's mature Blood Orchids, he refused to steal them immediately because doing so after Yue Qianchou's accusations would invite suspicion. 674 He also recognized when direct revenge was unwise, admitting that he could not yet challenge Yue Qianchou despite confidence that he might do so in the future. 429

His demonic cultivation intensified his coldness and self-interest.
