Background / History

Xu Changqing was a transmigrator raised in the Notting Orphanage. At his Martial Soul Awakening, he manifested the Five Dragon Lyre in his right hand and concealed the Dragon Scale Spear in his left; both were defective and could initially bear only five Soul Rings. The discovery that he possessed Innate Full Soul Power restored his hope, and his Master-Servant System bound to him that same day. 1

The Five Dragon Lyre proved to be an unusually rare summoning-type tool Martial Soul. Its five strings correspond to metal, wood, water, fire, and earth, guiding Xu Changqing toward Soul Rings of matching elemental attributes. 8 His first Soul Skill summoned a Golden Divine Dragon, establishing the dragon-summoning style that would define his combat ability. 14 15

After reaching Level 30 with an unprecedented Thousand-Year second ring, Xu Changqing left Notting City to hunt further Soul Beasts and investigate why the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect had posted a wanted notice for him. He later absorbed a Ten-Thousand-Year third ring, attracting the attention of Sword Douluo Chen Xin and Ning Rongrong. 28 32

His strength and connections expanded rapidly through Heaven Dou Royal Academy, the Royal Fighting Team, Spirit Hall, and the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect.
