Background / History

In her past life, Meng Anli was framed and abused by Meng Shiwan. Her inner core was removed, she was imprisoned, and she ultimately died after prolonged mistreatment. Her experiences left her deeply distrustful of control, affection, and promises of help. 455

In her later life, Meng Zhao again removes her inner core for Meng Shiwan after Anli frees eighty-one women whom he intended to use for alchemy. Thrown toward the North Sea's predatory black fish, she is saved when a trace of Yun Jing's magic power within her protects her. 2

Refusing to let the Huan Dan Grass be taken from her again, Anli consumes it raw despite the pain. She asks Yun Jing to guide her cultivation and revenge, demonstrating enough resilience to draw his interest.
