Background

The Space Station was established by Herta to seal and study anomalies in the galaxy. Its stated containment purpose includes the Anti-Matter Heart, which Herta considers both an anomaly and a collectible. The Interastral Peace Corporation funded and built the station, while Asta's family is also identified as supporting its construction. 1 3

Herta is identified as the station's true owner and manages it through her presence and puppets. Asta serves as station commander, directing daily operations from the main control section and coordinating the work of its departments. 1 3 31 34

Lin Nai lived on the station for years after Herta found him drifting through space. His food, lodging, and early clothing were provided there, while Herta repeatedly subjected him to examinations because standard instruments could not explain his condition or abilities. 1 2 12 13

• Containment sectors — Hold curiosities, anomalous objects, and relics, including Alien Water Sprites, the Mask of the Fool, an Aetheryte cassette tape, and other unusual artifacts. 5 6 7 15

History

Anomaly Containment

The station contains numerous peculiar objects and maintains procedures for identifying and securing them. An Alien Water Sprite escaped or was released from containment, impersonated cafeteria chef George, and threatened Lin Nai with a bomb before being captured and returned to a containment bay. The bomb was later revealed to be a prank device made by laboratory worker Joey. 5 6

Dream Coma Incident

A growing number of staff became lethargic, fainted, and entered deep comas; the crisis eventually affected Asta, Arlan, the station director, and the head of the Defense Department. The medical bay's equipment could not identify a cause, prompting Lin Nai to investigate the containment sector and dream-research technology. 14 15 16

Lin Nai entered Asta's dream and discovered that Aha had manipulated its events for amusement. He forced Aha to agree to leave the Space Station and not return, allowing Asta to awaken and ending the immediate crisis. 23 24

Anti-Matter Legion Invasion

Silver Wolf warned Lin Nai that the Anti-Matter Legion would attack the station. Lin Nai alerted Asta, who ordered an evacuation and placed the station on alert. A Black Dragon emerged during the assault and crushed Void Trotters without attacking station personnel. 27

The invasion caused extensive combat damage, but the evacuated personnel avoided casualties. Lin Nai fought through the invading Void Trotters, while the Stellaron Hunters pursued their separate objective involving the station's Stellaris; the genuine relics had already been replaced with replicas after Aha's earlier incident. 28 29 32

Doomsday Beast Attack and Repairs

Shortly after the invasion, a Doomsday Beast attacked the station and struck its shields. Lin Nai confronted it in open space, deliberately drawing its attacks away from the station before destroying it. 32 33

Herta returned to find the station in disarray but acknowledged that Asta's response had prevented injuries. The staff began repairs, and Asta planned broader upgrades to security measures, defense systems, and contingency plans. 34 36
