Background / History

Kafka and Silver Wolf prepared a female vessel for the Stellaris, while Lin Nai chose the name Xing. Kafka implanted the golden Stellaris into the vessel, bringing Xing to life aboard the Herta Space Station 29.

After Xing awakened, Kafka used her Word of Power to erase or suppress Xing’s past memories. Xing retained no knowledge of who they were or why they had been created; Kafka instructed them that they could always trust Lin Nai 30. Lin Nai was the first person Xing saw upon waking and soon became their guardian 35 36.

Xing joined Lin Nai, Dan Heng, and March Seven during the Anti-Matter Legion crisis. Though initially unarmed, they picked up a baseball bat and showed interest in fighting alongside the group 31. Herta later confirmed that Xing was a stabilized, unactivated Stellaris in human form 34.

When Lin Nai chose to travel with the Stellar Express, Xing insisted on accompanying him. The Express accepted Xing as a new member, and Kizuna arranged accommodations beside Lin Nai’s room 35. Xing subsequently traveled with the crew to Jarilo-VI, where they took part in the group’s investigation of Belobog 39 43 49.

Personality

They are strongly attached to Lin Nai, regarding him as a trustworthy companion, family member, and friend. Xing feels safe and happy near him, follows him by choice, and requested a room beside his 35.

Despite their childlike behavior, Xing can be unexpectedly shrewd. When Herta offered to study them, Xing immediately asked to be paid 34. They also have a recurring, difficult-to-control attraction to trash cans and repeatedly attempt to inspect them 47.
