Tyreen Hive City's Outer District.
Charred shell craters and collapsed buildings were everywhere.
The people searched through the ruins for usable supplies.
This war had taken too much from them, leaving their eyes numb and empty.
The God-Emperor's glory shone upon every one of us.
He had bestowed redemption. Rejoice, suffering people—His messenger had already walked among the living.
The speakers along the streets blared with the roars of fanatical Priests.
The people looked up in surprise and saw Servo-skulls carrying censers and Cherubs sweeping through the air.
The incense trailing behind them was churned into spiraling vortices by the wind.
Then, a massive missionary airship appeared.
A huge golden skull ornament adorned the front of the airship, while prayer banners hung from both sides.
Several Priests sang praises to the God-Emperor in unison, their voices broadcast through the speakers.
Hydrak hoped Qin Yun would make a trip to the Outer District.
To encourage those suffering civilians, Qin Yun agreed to the suggestion.
"May the Emperor's Light watch over you."
Standing at the front of the airship, Qin Yun shouted and activated skills such as Emperor's Light, blessing, and Purification.
Golden radiance filled the sky and descended upon the people, restoring their health and vitality.
"Praise the God-Emperor."
"Praise the Guide."
Witnessing this miraculous scene, many people were moved to tears and kept shouting.
The despair and sorrow in their eyes were swept away, replaced by joy.
The Guide's arrival let them know that He upon the Golden Throne still loved them.
Congratulations, you have gained experience. Level LV10 -> LV11 Skill comprehended: Curse of Knowledge (allows you to master knowledge more quickly and put it to use) Skill comprehended: Holy Aura (the Emperor's might is constantly manifested upon you, continuously damaging hostile Warp creatures) Skill comprehended: Brain Burst (locks onto a target within your field of vision and uses powerful psychic power to explode the enemy's head)
Qin Yun was somewhat surprised when he saw the light screen appear.
He had not expected to gain experience without killing enemies.
He suppressed his surprise.
While examining the new skills he had gained,
he smiled and waved to the people.
After finishing his work comforting the refugees, Qin Yun returned to the Hive City's inner city and met with the Warmaster.
"Honorable Guide."
The Warmaster gave an Aquila Salute, his face full of excitement.
This experience, which was somewhat like a 007 spy game, had been incredibly interesting to him.
"You did an excellent job. Now tell me about the intelligence you obtained," Qin Yun said.
"Alright."
The Warmaster gave Qin Yun a detailed report of his experiences during this period.
Thanks to his status as one of the God Chosen, coupled with the victory in the Outer District campaign,
his standing in the inner city had risen rapidly.
He could go anywhere.
Many people had also taken the initiative to provide him with intelligence.
Using that advantage, he quickly got to the bottom of the Valancius Family ancestor's affairs.
He also confirmed that the C'tan Shard was inside the man's tomb.
At the same time, he figured out the approximate scale of the Genestealers.
As well as which local defense regiments had been completely corrupted.
"You did an excellent job. The Emperor is proud of you."
Qin Yun did not skimp on his praise.
The Warmaster immediately became energized upon hearing those words.
"Make humanity great again. For the glory of the God-Emperor, it is my honor to ease your burdens.
"."
Qin Yun's pupils widened slightly, and for a moment, he did not know how to deal with this guy.
Compared to him, these players were simply unwaveringly loyal.
"Well said. For civilization, for the God-Emperor's glory, and for the future."
"Your reward will be personally granted by me once this mission is over."
Qin Yun maintained a dignified appearance.
Inside, he wondered whether he should forge a few Imperial Aquila medals.
For a contribution like obtaining intelligence on the C'tan Shard, Contribution Points alone would not be enough.
The Warmaster became even more excited.
A reward personally granted by him?
Had his favorability increased? Had he unlocked some special achievement?
He needed to say something and raise their favorability a little more.
The Warmaster stood ramrod straight and solemnly recited a famous Warhammer quote.
"My lord, I require no reward, for loyalty is its own reward."
"To die for the God-Emperor is the highest honor."
Qin Yun nearly failed to keep a straight face when he heard that.
With so many loyalty quotes, were you trying to get into the Schola Progenium?
"Very good. The God-Emperor is pleased with you."
After encouraging the Warmaster, Qin Yun sent him off to continue his work.
In the ruins of the Outer District, purification teams sprayed disinfectant and carried out sterilization work.
Next, Ecclesiarchy Priests performed rituals to drive out the remaining Warp blasphemy and corruption.
Once the purification work was complete, massive engineering vehicles entered the area.
The crushing engineering vehicles were as large as buildings, equipped with shovel buckets dozens of meters wide and internal miniature fusion reactors.
Their heavy tracks rumbled through the ruins, crushing the wreckage left behind by war.
They swept all the debris into their bellies, broke it down into different raw materials, and fed it to the construction vehicles behind them.
Buildings rose before the players as though they were being 3D-printed.
Some players curiously tested their strength by firing Lasguns at them, only to discover that they left nothing more than faint scorch marks.
These rapidly constructed buildings were sturdy enough to withstand heavy artillery bombardment.
"Is the Imperium's construction technology really this insane?"
"I thought they'd lay every brick by hand."
"I seriously can't understand it. Fine, the Imperium gets mocked by the space skeletons and bean sprouts, but why do the T'au mock them too? Their technology isn't lacking at all."
Ten-Timer, Brother Zhong, and the other players stared in stunned disbelief as the engineering teams rebuilt the Outer District at astonishing speed.
What did it mean to be infrastructure maniacs? This was what it meant.
"Is the Imperium using cheats or something? This construction speed is like playing Warcraft."
Watching another building appear before him, Brother Zhong could not help complaining.
"This should be STC technology. It was used when humanity colonized outer space during the Golden Age, allowing colonies to be built quickly."
Ten-Timer gave his analysis.
"No wonder they say they can go toe-to-toe with the Aeldari and Necrons. Even lying around and living off their inheritance, the Imperium of Man is still this awesome."
Little Fatty was equally amazed.
You could say the Imperium was weak, but you could not say humanity was weak.
"Now I finally understand why an STC is worth the Imperium trading several Chapters for. Who knows what good stuff it could unlock?"
Twisted Man stroked his chin.
"When will we find a few STCs too? The Guide would definitely give us a ton of Contribution Points."
Brother Zhong laughed. "If we found a good STC, something like time technology or a universal cure..."
"What are Contribution Points worth? You'd get whatever you wanted."
"Even if you asked the Guide to dance Kemu San for you, it wouldn't be a problem."
Twisted Man grinned. "Just hearing that feels amazing. I wonder when we'll get some kind of interstellar exploration event."
"."
Amid the players' discussions, the Outer District was rebuilt at an astonishing speed.
At Qin Yun's request, more water purification plants and greenhouse farms were added to the Outer District to ensure the food supply.
Environmental protection equipment was also installed at the heavy industrial factories returning to operation, reducing harmful emissions and protecting the Hive World's environment.
Industry had to be developed, but clear waters and green mountains could not be neglected either.
The resettlement of refugees also progressed steadily.
Young and strong men and women were selected to replenish the military and prepare for the coming war.
The others were assigned suitable jobs producing food and military supplies.
Children were sent to the newly established schools to study and strengthen their loyalty to the Emperor.
As for those who attempted to use psychic powers to cause trouble, they were executed immediately.
Psykers who were loyal and capable of controlling themselves were sent into the military after receiving the God-Emperor's baptism.
Those unable to control themselves were fitted with suppressors and kept under strict watch, to be used in the future to maintain the Geller Field.
At the same time, Qin Yun greatly increased welfare and subsidies for the lower classes.
He used the military to crack down on gangs trying to grow stronger amid the chaos and maintain public order.
After this series of measures and policies, crime rates on the streets fell one after another, and public security improved considerably.
The machines in the factories came back to life, rumbling as they operated.
Commercial activity flourished.
Tyreen Hive City was reborn, with order and prosperity gradually returning.
The numb people cast off the pain brought by war, their hearts filled with hope and anticipation for the future.
Once Tyreen Hive City was back on track, Qin Yun began preparing to retake the other Hive Cities.
"Units such as the Automata 65th Regiment, 88th Regiment, and 75th Regiment are the Imperium's elite and the Emperor's blades. They will serve alongside the God Chosen as the vanguard in the assault on Goliath Hive City."
With Qin Yun's current prestige, the entire military conference was effectively his personal court.
The battle plans he formulated left everyone else with no choice but to obey.
"Colonel Griffin, how about you serve as the vanguard commander?"
Qin Yun looked at the Imperial soldier seated to his right.
From the intelligence provided by the Warmaster, as well as the information gathered through Psychic Touch,
Qin Yun knew that this man had been corrupted by the Genestealers long ago.
The several regiments he had just mentioned were all Genestealer Cults as well.
Qin Yun intended to expend them in one sweep, then find and kill their Patriarch, completely removing the threat from this planet.
Colonel Griffin abruptly rose to his feet, stood ramrod straight, and saluted Qin Yun.
"Honorable sir, leave the most dangerous place to me. I will never disappoint your expectations."
