As he sought materials to acquire an Ember Inferno Ghost Wolf, the New Generation Sparring Tournament began with Ao Xuan and Villen against him.

• Lin Sheng reached the Fifth Erosion Martial Realm, refined the meltform origin crystal, completed the Spirit-Stealing Secret Art, and defeated Shen Tuo at Villen’s gathering.
• Lin Sheng studied and used the meltform origin, advancing his meltform cultivation while concealing the disturbance from Sun Radiance City’s powerful factions.
• Lin Sheng helped Andy kill four Mercury’s Gaze members and stop their old spirit from escaping, then learned that Xia Leisheng was reinforcing the Stillness-Sealing Grand Array at the Desolate Silent Expanse.
• After the Fighting Association withheld his limit-break materials, Lin Sheng obtained supplies from Andy, completed his first meltform limit break, and stopped seeking resources through the Association.
• Lin Sheng identified a scale from the Shadow Black Market as belonging to an injured Ember Inferno Ghost Wolf and arranged to pursue the beast at auction.

After surviving the Black Cliff Valley trap, Lin Sheng fled with a badly damaged True Spirit and traveled to Hurricane City to restore it. Once he healed and proved his value to Su Wan, he joined the expedition into the collapsing secret realm, where a hidden killing array split the group and competing searches began.

• Lin Sheng defeated Ao Xuan and Prison Evil at Black Cliff Valley, then destroyed Kalon’s phantom body and escaped Prison Demon with Little Black, though his True Spirit was badly damaged.
• Lin Sheng sought treatment in Hurricane City, cultivated the Divine Nurturing Manual, and earned money by hunting Eerie Beasts and robbing the Black Fang Squad.
• Lin Sheng passed Su Wan’s Soul-Suppressing Test Stele assessment, earned a place in her Hidden Site expedition, and used three True Spirit Potions to fully heal his True Spirit and reach the Fifth Erosion Martial Realm.
• Lin Sheng returned Little Black’s Origin True Nature before joining Su Wan, Bai Ji, Xiao Qing, and the Wild Horse Tribe in entering the secret realm.
• The expedition triggered a hidden killing array that separated the group and killed Apu and two Alchemist Alliance demigods, while Lin Sheng passed through unharmed.

Lin Sheng escaped the Spirit Ruins Secret Land, evaded Su Shui and Bo Di, and grew stronger while the war spread across the region. After rescuing Andy, Uncle Fu, and Shuilong from a powerful Deep Sea Tribe creature, he faced the creature as its attacks began wearing down his Inferno Black Flame.

• Batu killed Clear Spring, Sean, and the other Alchemist Alliance disciples, while Lin Sheng found a damaged origin-divine-iron sword and Gu Xuanzi’s concealed teachings in the ancient hall.
• Bai Ji killed Batu and opened a vortex containing Erosion Spirit Origin Qi, but Lin Sheng revealed his Azure-Melt Blood Demon form and killed Bai Ji in their clash.
• Lin Sheng escaped the secret land with Bai Ji’s treasures, studied the Silent Spirit Erosion Heaven Art, and slipped out of the Falling Wind Mountains despite the Heaven-Searching Array.
• Su Shui and Bo Di pursued Lin Sheng into the Return-to-Stillness Erosion Zone, where Pulis drove them away, and Lin Sheng recovered while they sealed the perimeter, then escaped after war drew them away.
• Lin Sheng reached High Tower Megacity, completed a limit break, learned the Shadow Fate-Concealment Art, and gained stolen Inferno origin authority during a cultivation ritual.
• The Deep Sea Tribe pursued Shuilong and Old Turtle for the Sea God Blood, and Andy and Uncle Fu rescued the injured Shuilong, but a merged creature emerged and chased them.
• Lin Sheng used Corrosion Beasts’ perception talents to detect Andy’s fleeing group, then arrived as the creature wounded Andy and Uncle Fu and seized the Crystal Pendant.
• Lin Sheng rescued Andy, Uncle Fu, and the unconscious Shuilong, then fought the creature as its powerful rules gradually weakened his Inferno Black Flame.

Lin Sheng and Andy raided a dangerous deep-sea cache, where Lin Sheng seized an Origin Core and drew the attention of Jia Quan and the Deep Sea Tribe. After defeating Jia Quan’s ambush aboard the Radiant Light, Lin Sheng refined two more Origin Cores and transformed his flesh affinity into Flesh Control as the voyage to Ghost Whale World continued.

• Lin Sheng killed He Jia, then joined Andy on an expedition to a hidden cache in the Outer Sea in exchange for access to Sea God Blood.
• Lin Sheng and Andy entered the cache, where Lin Sheng escaped a hidden Desolate Tier being with Little Black and seized its Origin Core.
• Deep Sea Tribe commanders ambushed Lin Sheng and Andy, but Lin Sheng killed them, refined the Origin Core, and escaped while Jia Quan began searching for the missing core.
• Lin Sheng and Little Black prepared to travel with Andy aboard the Radiant Light to Ghost Whale World, while Prison Demon attacked Su Shui and Bo Di to learn Lin Sheng’s location.
• Bunch and Naka secretly boarded the Radiant Light, and Bunch spread Dead Sea power through its energy circuit while Naka tampered with the surveyors.
• Lin Sheng lured Jia Quan away from the warship, then Xiwei fired the Radiant Light’s cannons and Lin Sheng struck Jia Quan, taking two Origin Cores before Jia Quan escaped.
• Lin Sheng cleansed the crew of Dead Sea contamination and recovered from his injuries, while Naka watched as he began refining the two cores.
• Lin Sheng overcame a bottleneck by redirecting energy into his purgatory and flesh affinities, and his flesh affinity transformed into Flesh Control as his strength and constitution rose to 81.
