"I'll be the king!"
In Solomon's war room, Isaac stunned everyone the moment he spoke. They all stared at him in surprise.
Being the king on the battlefield was very different from being the king of Solomon. The former meant danger; only the latter meant power.
And Isaac clearly meant the former.
"No!" After a brief moment of shock, Caesar immediately refused. He looked at Isaac gravely. "You read the rules for this match, didn't you? Virtual deities and your method of summoning divine avatars have both been restricted to some extent. It's too dangerous!"
Caesar looked sternly at Isaac. "Isaac, I am the king of Solomon!"
"You'll regret this, Caesar!" Isaac's expression was grim and solemn.
Then it softened like a spring breeze, and he smiled. "Would saying that here make the scene more fitting?"
"Isaac, this isn't the time for jokes!" Caesar's expression remained grave, while their father, Gaia, looked somewhat forlorn beside him.
At a time like this, Gaia should have been the one to step forward, but her strength was insufficient. The position of "king" was not only dangerous but also crucial. It was not simply a role for someone to die in, or she would have taken it herself.
"I'm not joking." Isaac looked calmly at Caesar. "Of all of us, I'm the only one who can survive against someone at the fifth tier. None of the rest of you would last a single exchange. The Virtual Deity and the Divine Tome may be banned, but—"
As he spoke, Isaac smiled confidently and raised his chin slightly. "When did you get the impression that gods were all I could rely on?"
Everyone froze for a moment, then exchanged glances. A Mad Witch who plundered gods was claiming he did not rely on them?
Only Caesar
