The admiration needed no explanation. Being an unprecedented Fourth-Tier Demigod alone was enough to terrify anyone. But as a mere Second-Tier Grand Wizard, what she admired was the endless stream of novel research projects Isaac provided them with. How could anyone be that clever?
Her fear, meanwhile, stemmed from Isaac's reputation as a Mad Witch. That, too, was an oft-discussed topic.
Across from the Witch, Isaac toyed with the multicolored Virtual Divine Spark in his hand and studied her curiously, letting the information about her drift through his mind.

No, strictly speaking, she had not even been a commoner. She had been born a serf and could not read a single word. Becoming a Legendary Wizard had been pure dumb luck—by sheer coincidence, she had arranged various scavenged objects into a ritual at home, then somehow acquired a seed of power and awakened her Talent Wizardry.
When she first became a wizard, she had been terrified, worried that she had become one of the witches from the legends. Only after joining the Cottage in the Woods had she realized she had been overthinking things. She was merely an ordinary Witch.
Afterward, like most wizards these days, she had earned her living through the Cottage in the Woods while accumulating knowledge in hopes of advancing further. It was during that time that she saw Isaac's recruitment notice and came to join him.
Over the years, she had successfully advanced to the Second Tier.
But that was as far as she had gone.
