Background / History

Lapis Lazuli was created as Isaac's family member through his Demon God power. Though she is a Demon God Seed separated from the Lord of Myriad Flesh, she simultaneously possesses the nature of a God Seed through the Divinity Network. Isaac names her “Lapis Lazuli,” an act that visibly—if only slightly—delights her. 151

Soon after her creation, she accompanies Isaac outside Filis Town and gains early combat experience against adventurers. When a poisoned arrow exposes the fleshy sarcoma beneath her human appearance, she kills the witnesses and attackers with extreme brutality to protect both Isaac and her secret. 275 228

Isaac later entrusts her with the Demon Rat and Dragon Lizard breeding grounds, material procurement, sales commissions, laboratory preparation, and assistance in bloodline-purification experiments. She also becomes Saint Lord's co-manager in the Beast Garden. 247 244 171

After advancing to Tier 3, Lapis Lazuli accompanies Isaac to Nebula City and Isman Valley. There, she defeats a High-level Earth Elemental Spirit after abandoning her disguise and revealing her original form. 71 60 217

Lapis Lazuli continues to serve as Isaac's principal assistant for advanced rituals, research administration, and material preparation. Although created through Isaac's Demon God-related power, Lapis Lazuli's later advancement has drawn upon power stolen from multiple gods. Isaac does this in part to keep her from being confined to, or controlled through, the path of the Lord of Billions of Flesh and Blood. During the assault on Terra Royal City, the pressure of three Divine Domains forcibly exposes her original form. Enraged by the exposure, she releases Divine Visage: Twisted True Form, adapts to the Divine Domains, heals the affected residents, and destroys the three divine statues controlling the Domains. 399

Isaac initially considers sacrificing some of her prospective strength to give her a genuinely human body rather than a merely human-looking mimicry. Lapis Lazuli normally presents herself as a slender, fair-cheeked young woman in a plain white dress. In battle, purple-black magic power can change her clothing into leather armor. 228 60

Lapis Lazuli's composure conceals a severe insecurity regarding her original form. Isaac's early visible preference for her human mimicry contributed to her self-loathing, and she privately sought ways to change her true form through Little Mouse and Soren. Even after learning that Isaac no longer judges her by appearance, she continues to regard exposure of that form as deeply humiliating. 399 403
