After Martin Lee turned him away, Reed Richards had no choice but to call Kraft's home.
By then, however, Angela had already learned through the internet that he had called Martin Lee and had notified Kraft well in advance.
"That guy hasn't starved to death, has he?"
Only after Angela's reminder did Kraft suddenly remember that he still had a fire-wielding guy sitting in his laboratory.
"Don't worry, big brother. I've been injecting him with a dose of nutrient solution every day," Angela said, fishing for praise. "He was still full of energy and trying to break out at first. These past two days, I've been mixing a little tranquilizer into his nutrient solution, and he's been much better."
"Uh... good job." Kraft scratched his head. Although he saw nothing wrong with what Angela had done, something about it still felt a little off.
"Heehee~ I learned those methods from psychiatric hospitals."
Well, now Kraft knew exactly what felt off...
But it didn't matter. As far as Kraft was concerned, that Human Torch really did have something wrong with his head.
"Big brother, Reed Richards is calling. Should I put him through?"
"Sure. Let's hear what he has to say."
Kraft pursed his lips and answered casually.
Inwardly, though, he had already decided to give Dr. Richards a hard time. Skin color was a minor issue. Although Kraft was a little colder toward non-Asians, he wasn't unreasonable.
The real issue is that you, Reed Richards, want your brother-in-law back, yet you won't even come here in person. You think one phone call will make me release him? Dream on. Do you think I have no pride?
With that thought, Kraft took Reed's call.
"Hello, this is Reed Richards. I'm looking for Kraft Lee."
Reed was quite polite over the phone.
