With the experience of successfully finding Mithril Alloy, Kraft found replacements for other metals like Orichalcum and True Silver through repeated experimentation. Although these replacements didn't surpass the original materials like Mithril Alloy did, they didn't hinder the use of the items. However, as magical materials began to occupy a larger proportion, Kraft's progress in engineering finally came to a halt.
Even so, Kraft was quite satisfied. Engineering was a complete technological system, a rare dream of his.
Well... it should be considered technology, right...
"Right, how's the search for Captain America's shield going?"
After finishing his engineering research, Kraft flipped through the memos on his computer and then asked Haro.
"It's hit a dead end, a dead end," Haro replied, displaying the relevant information it had collected online.
Due to America's official propaganda, information about Captain America was extremely complex, making it very difficult to extract useful data. Out of the dense files Haro had collected, over seventy percent were labeled "dubious."
Kraft spent a considerable amount of time organizing this information, but unfortunately, as Haro reported, the intelligence gathering had reached a stalemate.
This was because a mysterious force had sealed away all the truly valuable intelligence. If not for two other mysterious forces attacking the first force's database, Haro wouldn't have found even these few clues.
Kraft knew the identities of one of these three forces: an organization formed by a group of hackers – Tidal Wave. When Kraft had Haro sweep the internet, they had sent an encrypted email to Haro, essentially inviting him to join the Tidal Wave organization, which Kraft had decisively refused.
The email not only tried to recruit him but also expounded at length on their organization's principles, such as breaking official information blockades and letting the public know the truth – things that made Kraft want to laugh.
The American public is suffering, but what does that have to do with me?
However, thanks to them, Kraft had managed to gather some useful information: Captain America's shield was made by Tony Stark's father, Howard Stark, using a metal called Vibranium.
Assigning the task of gathering Vibranium as a regular mission to Haro, Kraft began preparing to address another item on his memo.
To give Alice a more durable body.
When Kraft had initially created Alice, he wasn't confident in his success, so he used ordinary alloy materials. Although she had later survived an attack by the Magia Gang, he felt that even ordinary alloy was sufficient. At the time, Kraft had also thought that if Alice were accidentally damaged, he could just make a new one, so he naturally didn't bother replacing her with better materials.
Now, his feelings towards Alice had completely changed. Coupled with the existence of an equally unscientific and uncontrollable being like the Hulk, enhancing Alice's body had naturally become a priority.
"Brother, you called for me?"
Since Kraft had been researching engineering-related topics recently, there had been no shortage of explosions, explosions, and more explosions. Therefore, Alice and her two pets had been moved back home.
Upon receiving Kraft's call today, Alice, along with Quinn and Bea, came over from home.
"Mm," Kraft beckoned Alice over and then pointed to the workbench. "Lie down here."
"W-what's wrong?" Alice asked cautiously, glancing fearfully at the cold tools on the workbench.
"You saw that green monster on TV earlier, right? If you ever encounter him, you'll be turned into scrap metal without a doubt."
Kraft pulled Alice onto the workbench.
"Originally, I thought that even if you were damaged, with the computer backup, I could revive you anytime. But as you mentioned before, you're afraid that the revived you wouldn't be yourself."
Kraft unfastened Alice's clothes, skillfully dismantled her body piece by piece, and then suspended her head to the side, continuing to explain, "So I thought I'd replace the materials in your body with a stronger alloy. That way, even if something unexpected happens, you won't be easily damaged."
"Oh, I see. You scared me... I thought you didn't want me anymore..."
With only her head suspended in mid-air, Alice looked at Kraft with teary eyes. She had almost fainted from fear, having watched herself being disassembled into parts.
"What nonsense are you spouting!" Kraft tapped Alice's sole remaining head. "You're my sister!"
"Hehehe~" Alice giggled foolishly and tried to raise her hand to touch the back of her head. Her arm, placed on the workbench, then punched Kraft squarely between his legs.
"!!!!!" Kraft collapsed onto the ground, clutching his vital area, too much pain to even cry out.
"Ahhhhhh!!! Brother, I'm so sorry!!!" Alice flailed about in a panic, decisively flinging her right leg away, which then struck Quinn in the face.
"RUA!"
"Ahhhhhhhhh!!! Sorry, Quinn!" Alice became even more flustered.
"Stop moving, meow!" The little black cat Bea, relying on her agility, leaped onto Alice's head and swatted her forehead, finally calming the foolishly cute robot.
"Ouch, ouch, ouch..." Kraft lay on the ground resting for a while before shakily getting up, leaning on the workbench.
"I'm sorry..." Alice apologized repeatedly, her voice choked with tears.
"Don't you move around randomly again!" Kraft glared at the idiot, then rested for a bit longer before resuming the process of replacing Alice's body.
Being struck in his vital area had somewhat affected Kraft's operation. It took him considerably longer than expected to replace all of Alice's body parts with high-grade materials, primarily Moon God Titanium Alloy. Even the outermost layer of artificial skin, Kraft had replaced with a material that was more durable and resistant to fire and acid.
After finishing the replacement of Alice's artificial skin, Kraft threw her clothes over and rubbed his still-throbbing vital area, grimacing. "Hurry up and get dressed and make me something to eat! I'm starving!"
Alice, naked, sat up from the workbench, nodding and smiling apologetically.
"Kraft! Here I come!"
Just then, Fatty Liao burst in, holding his beloved handheld camera.
Since tomorrow was the weekend, Kraft and Fatty Liao had arranged for him to stay over tonight to film new material for the Clever Hands Channel.
Kraft had previously calculated that he could finish Alice's body swap before 5 PM and have dinner, so they had agreed to meet at 7 PM.
But who could have predicted the unexpected turn of events.
"Kraft! You still say you're not an LSP!"
Fatty Liao's chubby hand, pointing at Kraft, was trembling.
Kraft: "...Shit!"

After finishing this chapter, I felt like I had seen this plot somewhere before. After recalling, the opening of Arale also had a similar experience with Senbei Norimaki...
Indeed, the joys and sorrows of scientists are sometimes interconnected.
