With a flash of blue light, Kraft appeared beside Mary Jane.
In fact, Kraft had arrived quite some time ago. Like Connors and the others, he had been unable to create a new symbiote using the methods in the files, so he had long since had Angela plant a Trojan in Harry's Medical Pod to monitor its condition in real time.
When the symbiote had gone berserk earlier, Angela had notified Kraft immediately. He had then told her to keep playing with Arale and headed to Connors's research institute alone under an Invisibility Field.
At the time, Venom had yet to break out of the tank, so Kraft had remained invisible and watched from the sidelines. Even after Venom got out, he had been in no hurry to intervene. He wanted to see exactly how this artificial symbiote differed from an alien one.
He simply hadn't expected Peter Parker to be so hopeless that he couldn't even hold off a Venom driven solely by animal instinct for more than a few minutes.
