Background

Chen Xiaofan begins as a seven-year-old orphan who transmigrates into a world where multiple martial-arts settings have merged. Soon after arriving, he awakens Heaven-Defying Comprehension, creates roar techniques from his encounter with a lion, and travels toward Mount Wudang by Sword Riding Flight 1.

While journeying, he gathers martial arts from masters, sects, and battles. He accepts Huang Yaoshi as a master after learning from him on Peach Blossom Island, while remaining committed to studying under Zhang Sanfeng at Wudang 22 27. His eventual meeting with Zhang Sanfeng establishes him as the patriarch's disciple and Wudang's Eighth Senior Brother 81 82.

At Wudang, Chen develops from an unmatched junior disciple into an instructor for his seniors, an Immortal cultivator, and finally the sect's new leader.
