Background / History
The Tianshan Child Elder came to Mount Wudang with numerous followers to challenge Zhang Sanfeng. Zhang refused to meet her, considering her mid-stage Land Immortal cultivation beneath his notice. Humiliated, she instead demanded to spar with the Wudang Seven Heroes and specifically chose Yu Lianzhou, a Great Grandmaster, as her opponent. 85
She initially overwhelmed Yu Lianzhou with the Tianshan Plum Blossom Hand, but Chen Xiaofan identified the technique's wrist weakness and instructed Yu how to counter it. Her later use of the Child Elder Divine Skill and Tianshan Six Yang Palm was likewise neutralized after Chen exposed their weaknesses. Ashamed and furious, she challenged Chen directly. 86 87
Against Chen, she activated the Everlasting Youthful Spring Skill, Eight Desolations and Six Directions Supreme Skill, and Child Elder Divine Skill before attacking with the Tianshan Rainbow Sword. Chen copied her arts after observing them and defeated her in one strike, severely injuring her. When she demanded that he use Wudang martial arts instead, Chen defeated her a second time with Tai Chi Solitary Sword: Swordless Victory. 88 89
She conceded, praised Wudang's martial arts, and presented two Heavenly Mountain Snow Lotus plants as an apology. Her injuries were severe enough that she had to be carried down Mount Wudang on a bamboo bed. 89
Still badly injured, she later attended the martial gathering seeking access to Bamboo Heaven Blessed Land, hoping its treasures could heal her. Seeing Chen Xiaofan there, she became frightened and had her disciples carry her to Wudang's side to offer greetings rather than risk provoking him. 116 117
When Grand Chan Master Vajra encountered Chen, the Tianshan Child Elder warned him not to underestimate the Wudang disciple. She explained that Chen had crippled her with one move and that even after consuming many treasures, she would require at least a year and a half to recover fully. 215 216
After witnessing Chen's martial arts guidance during Vajra's defeat, she gave Chen a copy of the Tianshan Sect's sect-guarding Immortal Godly Skill in return. 224
Later, at a Tianshan Sect branch, she recognized the now-grown Chen Xiaofan and immediately punished gate guards who had attempted to extort him. She continued to defer to him, handled inquiries on his behalf, and ordered the sect to circulate detailed notices warning all members not to provoke him. 229 231 244
Personality
Initially, the Tianshan Child Elder is proud, domineering, and highly conscious of status. She considers ordinary sects beneath her notice and attempts to use her Land Immortal cultivation to humiliate Wudang's Great Grandmasters. 86 117
Her defeats by Chen Xiaofan force a major change in her conduct. She becomes cautious and deferential around him, prioritizing avoiding conflict and maintaining a workable relationship with Mount Wudang. 117 215 244
Despite her fear of Chen, she retains firm authority over the Tianshan Sect. She acts decisively against disciples whose behavior risks offending him, including personally ordering harsh punishment for extortionists and issuing warnings throughout the sect. 229 230 241 244
Abilities & Skills
Land Immortal Cultivation
A mid-stage Land Immortal whose aura can overwhelm ordinary martial artists and place immense pressure on Great Grandmasters. 85 88
- Her pressure caused surrounding Wudang and Tianshan disciples to struggle to remain standing. 88
- Chen Xiaofan remained unaffected by her full pressure. 88
- Her cultivation was far above Yu Lianzhou's Great Grandmaster realm. 85 86
Tianshan Plum Blossom Hand
Her palm technique used to suppress Yu Lianzhou during their first exchange. 86
- Its weakness lies in her wrist; striking it disrupts the technique. 86
- After Chen identified this flaw, Yu Lianzhou struck her wrist and forced her back. 86
Child Elder Divine Skill
A signature divine skill said to absorb moon essence and greatly enhance the user's body, speed, and strength. 87
- Increased her speed beyond what Yu Lianzhou could visually track. 87
- Amplified her strength by at least tenfold when combined with the Plum Blossom Hand. 87
- Its critical weakness is her breath; striking her mouth disrupts the breath in her chest and sharply reduces her speed and power. 87
Tianshan Six Yang Palm
One of the Carefree Sect's exclusive martial arts, described as exquisite and fiercely powerful. 87
- Its palm force attacks like torrential rain and a violent hurricane. 87
- Its weakness lies in the palm itself; Yu Lianzhou dispersed its force by striking that point. 87
Inner Cultivation Techniques
During her fight with Chen Xiaofan, she activated several inner arts simultaneously to maximize her combat ability. 88
- Everlasting Youthful Spring Skill — activated alongside her other inner cultivations. 88
- Eight Desolations and Six Directions Supreme Skill — activated alongside the Everlasting Youthful Spring Skill and Child Elder Divine Skill. 88
- Layering these techniques greatly increased her speed and offensive force. 88
Tianshan Rainbow Sword
A sword art used after she fully activated her inner cultivation techniques. 88
- Chen Xiaofan analyzed and mastered the technique after watching it once. 88
- Chen shattered her sword and seriously injured her by using the same technique against her. 88
- She used it again in her rematch with Chen because she feared he would learn any unfamiliar technique she revealed. 89
Items
- Heavenly Mountain Snow Lotus — Two rare plants offered to Wudang as an apology after her defeat. 89
- Immortal Godly Skill — A copied version of the Tianshan Sect's sect-guarding martial arts manual, given to Chen Xiaofan in return for his guidance. 224
- Medicinal pills — Used after her injuries in an attempt to regain enough strength to continue fighting Chen. 89
- Sickbed / bamboo bed — Used by her disciples to carry her after the injuries inflicted at Mount Wudang. 89 116
Relationships
- Chen Xiaofan — Initially his adversary at Mount Wudang; after two crushing defeats, she becomes fearful, respectful, and intent on avoiding conflict with him. 88 89 117 244
- Yu Lianzhou — Wudang opponent whom she initially suppressed; he countered her techniques after receiving Chen Xiaofan's guidance. 86 87
- Zhang Sanfeng — She came to Mount Wudang intending to challenge him, but he refused to meet her due to the gap in their cultivation. 85
- Grand Chan Master Vajra — A senior martial-world acquaintance; she warned him that Chen Xiaofan was far stronger than he appeared. 215 216
- Green Bamboo and Green Snake — Female disciples who carry her sickbed. 116
- Tianshan Sect disciples — Her followers and subordinates; she commands them directly and disciplines them harshly when their conduct threatens the sect. 86 229 244
