Background

Zhu Zhuqing is a member of the Zhu Family, the family of the Netherworld Duke in the Star Luo Empire. The Zhu Family has intermarried with the imperial family for generations and is second only to the royal family in influence. She was engaged to Dai Mubai, but regarded her family’s struggles and the conflict among sisters as a cruel fate she needed to escape. Her desire to become strong enough to live by her own power became an obsession. 95 96

While at Shrek Academy, Zhu Zhuqing is repeatedly mistaken for Long You Jing because of their near-identical appearance and shared Hell Spirit Cat Martial Soul. Long You Jing does not know the Netherworld Duke and is confirmed to have no familial connection to Zhu Zhuqing. 72 95

Long You Jing accepts Zhu Zhuqing as her disciple, promising to help her become one of the continent’s strongest people and shield her from her family’s fate. Zhu Zhuqing accepts, but remains at Shrek Academy until graduation rather than immediately leaving her peers. 96 102

Long You Jing later intimidates both the Zhu and Dai families into cancelling Zhu Zhuqing and Dai Mubai’s engagement. She also warns the Zhu Family never to trouble Zhu Zhuqing again. 143

Zhu Zhuqing is usually seen in a black leather outfit. During Martial Soul Possession, she manifests differently colored eyes and spiked cat claws. 72 106

Long You Jing offers Zhu Zhuqing formal discipleship because they look alike and share the same Martial Soul. Zhu Zhuqing accepts after learning that Long You Jing can help her gain strength and escape her family’s control. 96

Third Soul Ring and Breakthrough

Long Yun and Long You Jing accompany Zhu Zhuqing to Sunset Forest to obtain her Third Soul Ring. She kills and absorbs the Netherworld Wolf King’s 2,100-year ring, breaking through to Level 38 and gaining Netherworld Shadow Strike. 99 100

Spar with Tang San

After returning to Shrek Academy, Zhu Zhuqing demonstrates her sudden advancement by challenging Tang San. She counters his Blue Silver Grass with speed, breaks through it with her Second Soul Skill, and uses Netherworld Shadow Strike to evade Spider Web Restraint and defeat him. 105 106

Shrek Academy’s Strongest Student

Over the following year, Zhu Zhuqing reaches Rank 44 and becomes Shrek Academy’s strongest student in ordinary one-on-one combat, even surpassing Tang San when he does not use Hidden Weapons.
