Background / History

Long Yun was a twelve-year-old boy from Earth when a Black Hole pulled him into Douluo Continent. The Douluo Experience System informed him that he could return home only after experiencing life in this world. Because he had read Douluo One, he immediately began using his knowledge of its future events to plan his survival and advancement. Tang San is the same age as him. 2 3

After meeting Hu Liena, Long Yun was brought to the Pope’s Palace for a delayed martial soul awakening. He remained respectful before Bibi Dong without groveling, leaving her with a favorable first impression. 8 9 His awakening produced Godking Darius, a mysterious humanoid martial soul whose pressure forced nearby people to release their own martial souls merely to resist it. 10

Bibi Dong accepted him as her disciple and named him Xiao Yun. Under her direction, he entered Soul Hunting Forest with Yue Guan, obtained his first soul ring, and began building a combat foundation rather than rushing immediately after further rings. 13 22 26 His system later allowed him to draw Du Busi, revealing Long Yun’s position as the Divine Palace’s Young Master. 27

Long Yun trained at Spirit Hall Academy, sparring with Yan and Xie Yue while developing his Divine Armor. Long Yun is pragmatic and unusually mature for his age. After his initial fear upon arriving in Douluo Continent, he quickly accepts the situation, assesses its timeline, and treats his foreknowledge as an advantage to be used carefully. 2 3

He is ambitious but not reckless in cultivation. He refuses to obtain a second ring immediately after his first, choosing instead to consolidate his Soul Power, train in the Soul Beast Forest, and build combat experience. 26 He repeatedly seeks difficult opponents and real combat to test his limits, including Soul Emperors, Soul Douluo, and stronger enemies. 133 236

Despite his confidence and occasional pride in shocking others with his soul rings, Long Yun is protective and generous toward people close to him.
