Fragment Space

Bao Bao originally lived in the ruined fragment space where Li Wuyang was trapped. Though its intelligence and inherited memories were incomplete, it was a natural space creature highly sensitive to spatial fluctuations. Li Wuyang named the little jellyfish “Bao Bao,” and its detection of resonances with external spatial nodes revealed that the fragment space periodically formed escape-enabling space ripples 67.

It later arrived in the Lost Realm with Li Wuyang after they emerged from a spatial ripple. Bao Bao remained at Li Wuyang's side during his recovery, entertaining him with disjointed stories of its former life in the fragment space and becoming his primary companion there 70 71.

Guide to the Eye of the Returning Void

The Great Elder discovered that Bao Bao carried an extremely dilute Void Spirit Bloodline, making it a possible guide to the Eye of the Returning Void 71. Bao Bao willingly accepted the danger of awakening that bloodline so it could accompany and help Li Wuyang, despite the possibility of mental damage or bloodline collapse 72.

The awakening succeeded through the Ancient Spirit Awakening Array and Li Wuyang's support. Bao Bao gained the ability to sense faint “end” trajectories, allowing it to guide Li Wuyang through the unstable void currents surrounding the Eye of the Returning Void 72 74. Its spatial perception became ineffective within the Eye itself, however, because even trajectories ceased to exist in that absolute void 75.

Separation and Rescue Effort

Bao Bao accompanied Li Wuyang into the Domain of Ash and Flowing Fire in search of the Eternal Furnace, but the intense environment was particularly uncomfortable for its space-and-water nature 78. When Li Wuyang entered the Origin Starfire amid attacks by the Nine-Headed Fire Phoenix, Bao Bao was forced to escape through the sea of fire alone 78 80.

Determined to find him, Bao Bao survived the dangerous chaotic void and returned to the Lost Realm. The journey forced it to develop from a dependent creature into a capable survivor, eventually reaching the peak Heavenly Immortal level 84. It sought aid from the Great Elder and Ai Xi, then traveled with the Great Elder to the Anchor of All Realms to locate Li Wuyang and the Eternal Furnace 84 85.

Bao Bao later sensed a clear, distant direction connected to Li Wuyang, confirming that he had survived. Its bloodline perception also detected changes around his moving location, helping make the rescue effort possible 86 87. It was present when Li Wuyang's apparent death was revealed to be his rebirth into a Chaos Dao Body 94.

Appearance

Bao Bao is a small jellyfish-like spirit that often travels within a water sphere. Following its bloodline awakening, its translucent form became larger and crystalline silver-gray, with longer, more agile tentacles and silver, starlight-like eyes 70 72.

Personality

Bao Bao is initially innocent, excitable, and childlike, communicating in brief, fragmented thoughts. It is deeply attached to Li Wuyang, whom it calls “Neighbor,” and provides reassurance when he is frightened or injured 70.

Despite its naïveté, Bao Bao consistently chooses to face danger alongside its companions. It voluntarily undergoes a painful bloodline awakening to guide Li Wuyang, refuses to remain safely behind while he is missing, and persists through the chaotic void alone to find help 72 84. Its ordeals make it more independent, resilient, and mature without diminishing its affection for Li Wuyang 84.
