Background / History

Before its division, the Primordial World existed within an undifferentiated Chaos in which there was no up or down, east or west, past or present. Primordial Violet Qi permeated this pre-creation state. 1

After Li Ping'an was expelled from Primordial Chaos by the Primordial Great Dao, he arrived in a vast land of abundant spiritual energy, ancient mountains, towering trees, strange vegetation, and dangerous primordial beasts. 1 The world was already a place where major powers such as Demon Ancestor Luohu and the Witch Clan operated. 1 5

Li Wuyang later recalls that he was forced to leave after the Witch-Demon War. Buzhou Mountain had collapsed, Empress Nuwa had mended the sky, the Heavenly Court had only recently been established, Dao Ancestor Hongjun was giving his Three Sermons at Zixiao Palace, and the Human Race was beginning to rise under the favor of the Heavenly Dao. 360

By the time Li Wuyang returned, the world had entered the era of the Journey to the West. The Primordial World's Boundary Wall had been strengthened enough to bar normal entry, forcing Li Wuyang, Xuan, and Primordial Father to use a weak point to infiltrate it. 367 The world later became a major center of conflict involving Buddhism, the Heavenly Court, the Finality Council, awakened Chaos Demon God remnants, and the Reincarnation Hall. 377 378 383

Nature and Structure

• The Primordial World is a high-level cultivation world whose ordinary Heavenly Immortals are considered far stronger and more refined than cultivators of the Spiritual Stream Realm. 41 42
• Its early landscape is characterized by exceptionally dense spiritual energy, ancient wilderness, unfamiliar plant life, and powerful ferocious beasts. 1
• The world possesses a Boundary Wall that can be strengthened to prevent entry from outside realms. 367
• It is identified as a nexus of the myriad realms and a crucial center for the flow of reincarnation. 383

Primordial Era

The world serves as Li Wuyang’s first destination after his adoption by the Primordial Great Dao. Its dangerous wilderness immediately establishes the contrast between his former ordinary life and the brutal cultivation environment. 1

Demon Ancestor Luohu’s invitation to join the Demonic Path introduces the threat of destroying the Primordial World at the very beginning of Li Wuyang’s journey. 1

Return to the Main World

The Chaos Altar’s Return to Origin passage is believed to connect back to the Primordial World, making the world the desired destination of several stranded factions. Li Wuyang questions whether the unstable passage can truly lead there after Xuan’s sacrifice. 62

Journey to the West Era

When Li Wuyang learns that the world has progressed into the Journey to the West period, he discovers that new, unauthorized tribulations have appeared, including Outer Realm Demon Lords, ancient Chaos Sea beast remnants, and traces of the Finality Council. 360 362

Upon returning, Li Wuyang finds the Boundary Wall strengthened and the world’s spiritual vitality and Dao Rhyme caught in an extremely tense balance. 367 377

Finality Encroachment

The Finality Council’s influence spreads through the Primordial World during the conclusion of the Journey to the West, using the World Destruction Great Tribulation and the awakening of Chaos Demon God Taotie to destabilize the world. 378

The All Heavens Reincarnation Network Diagram identifies the Primordial World as one of the regions most severely contaminated by Finality Annihilation, with the corruption continuing to spread. 383
