Background / History

Luohu is a reincarnated Chaos Demon God who remembers the Calamity of Heaven's Opening, when Pangu fought the three thousand Chaos Demon Gods. Her interpretation of the Great Dao was shaped by that event: strength, victory, and killing are necessary to survive a cruel world 33.

After reshaping her Dao body in the Primordial World, she took female form. Luohu and Yang Mei are uncertain why the Law of Yang disappeared and why they became women, though Luohu refuses to dwell on the matter 52.

When she first encounters Chu Feng, his trace of Pangu's aura makes her suspect that he may be Pangu's reincarnation. She instead identifies his unusually strong Yang laws and demands that he assist her cultivation 1. Her initial interest in him is partly caution and partly curiosity: he is the first male creature she has encountered in countless years 96.

Her Demonic Path emphasizes victory over moral restraint; she argues that killing must be used to restrain killing 33.

She is exceptionally ambitious. Luohu orchestrates calamities to gain the conditions needed to prove her Dao, founds the Demon Realm to control the Demonic Path, and repeatedly seeks stronger realms so that she can rival or surpass Hongjun 5 22 196. Her ruthlessness extends to parallel-world counterparts and transmigrators, whom she kills and refines without hesitation when they are of no use to her 96 104 204.

Despite this, Luohu can protect and reward those she recognizes as her own. She keeps Chu Feng near her because he would be unsafe alone, swears a Great Dao oath not to harm him after receiving his help, guides Yang Mei and Ming He, and regards the Demon Realm's practitioners as under her protection 2 19 22 33 135. Dragon-Phoenix Calamity

Luohu first takes Chu Feng with her while collecting materials for the Four Swords of Zhu Xian. She protects him from hostile creatures but primarily seeks to study and use his Extreme Yang Power for her own breakthrough 1 2 3.

She then engineers conflict among the Dragon, Phoenix, and Qilin Clans, using tribulation energy and planted evidence to turn the clans against each other. Her goal is to exploit the calamity's killing intent to prove her Dao 5 16 17.

Dao-Demon Conflict and Survival

After Chu Feng exposes her destined defeat and offers the Slaughter Law Dao Fruit, Luohu agrees to his terms and swears not to harm him after enlightenment 18 19. Her clone later fights Hongjun and the Old Ancestors while her true body secretly leaves for Chaos to cultivate beyond the Heavenly Dao's sight 20 165.

Though the Primordial World believes her dead after the Dao-Demon Conflict, Luohu survives through this arrangement and temporarily keeps her existence concealed 52 165.

Establishment of the Demon Realm

Luohu creates the Demon Realm in Chaos, gains Great Dao merit, and becomes the ruler of the Demonic Path 22. She later uses the realm as a base of power, a place of cultivation, and a refuge for allies such as Yang Mei and Shichen 33 200.
