Roland and the others left quietly. On a dark and stormy night, Roland, Caslo, Wes, Fenglin Xilan, and Fenglin Shulan slipped out of Lagrange City beneath the cover of darkness. In the wilderness, Caldo carried a small wooden house through the air.

Inside the cabin, Roland and the others stared at one another with ashen faces. Because of Roland's miscalculation, the cabin's windows had failed outright at high altitude, shattered by the howling wind. The group then silently endured the draft, circulating Battle Qi to protect themselves from the cold. It was not that Roland had not considered lighting a fire for warmth—his storage space contained no shortage of small iron stoves—but after seeing everyone's soot-covered faces, they tacitly agreed not to bring up making a fire again.

"Your Majesty... what happened to you?" After more than half a day, Caslo stopped. Caldo also loosened his claws and set down the cabin he had been carrying. The moment he opened the door and saw four soot-black figures, he was rendered completely incoherent.

"A mistake! Let's eat!" Roland said helplessly with a dark face.

"Let's see what we have today. Fine cheese straight from the ranches of Flowing City! Pan-fried lamb chops! Black pepper beef strips! Hey! Exquisite cream bread!" Roland sank his consciousness into his system space and began rummaging around. One steaming delicacy after another appeared on the dining table as though he were performing magic.

"This... is a little too lavish, isn't it?" Wes's mouth twitched. It was only a meal on the road. Did it need to be this formal?

"Hey! Your reward, Caldo!" Roland tossed out an entire roasted beef leg. Caldo narrowed his eyes, opened his mouth, and swallowed it whole.

"Huh? What exactly have you packed in there, Your Majesty?" Wes stood frozen.
