Clark and Bruce emerged from the back entrance of the Metropolis Museum of Art and headed straight for the parking lot. On the way to find the car, Clark's ear twitched, and his gaze discreetly shifted in one direction.
"I think he found us," Batman, standing in the corner of the parking lot, said as he turned back to Superman.
"Not surprising. I can hear sounds from the other side of Earth."
"Then if I hold my breath..."
"Unless you can stop your heartbeat."
Batman adjusted his uniform, preparing for the coming conversation, only to watch helplessly as Clark and Bruce walked right past them and reached the car.
"Looks like they don't plan to come talk to us. Should we go over and speak with them?"
"Shouldn't we be wondering where those two are planning to go?" Superman leaned out to look in that direction, and Batman followed suit.
"Actually, I'd rather know why they're driving. More importantly, why is Superman driving?"
Superman raised one eyebrow as well, looking somewhat puzzled. Then he turned to Batman and said, "I think this is the normal arrangement. Why don't you usually let me drive?"
"You habitually speed," Batman said. "And you never check the rearview mirror..."
"That's because I have super-hearing. I can..."
"They're leaving." Batman tapped Superman's arm. "Follow them. We need to find a chance to talk to them."
"I'm afraid you'll have to talk to me first." A woman's voice suddenly sounded behind them. When they turned around, Diana stood there in a white shirt and a black fitted suit skirt.
"Diana?" Superman said her name, then added, "Uh, long time no see. How have you been?"
"Not bad. Welcome to this universe, but before you take any action, I need to speak with you. Come with me."
