Background / History

Guo Wendian taught cultural studies at Jupiter City Fourth Middle School. His unconventional methods drew repeated criticism from Dean of Academics Dong Lan after his class ranked second-to-last in cultural-study scores and last in student satisfaction. During the confrontation, he remained silent and continued organizing the books on his desk. His academic record was nevertheless regarded as exceptional, and his teaching emphasized independent thought and genuine understanding rather than rote performance 45 51.

He was later exposed as an Imposter during the crisis at Fourth Middle School. Guo killed Dong Lan and interacted with an anomalous derivative body on the rooftop, revealing both his concealed nature and his knowledge of supernatural entities 59. Unlike most Imposters, he retained a recognizable teacher-student attitude: he did not attack Luo Di and Xiao Ying, warned them of the Flesh-type Imposter in the gymnasium, and advised them to shelter in the dormitory 62.

He values caution and independent judgment. When Luo Di deferred his decision to join Vortex Town until after the Corner recognized it, Guo accepted the answer rather than forcing a commitment 556.
