His eyes lit up, and he then said happily, "Mr. Shaya."

But soon, the memory from just now surfaced in his mind.

A being whose aura was very similar to the Grim Reaper he had seen before suddenly appeared before him and asked him for details about what had happened to him earlier.

On the principle of not causing trouble for Shaya, Hart deliberately concealed Shaya's existence as well, and then he lost consciousness.

He snapped back to his senses and quickly said, "Mr. Xia, just now..."

"If you're talking about the person who looks like a Greek sculpture, he's already left," Shaya said. "You won't be seeing anyone like that for a long time to come."

Shaya's calm tone also eased Hart's mood.

He breathed a slight sigh of relief, realizing at that moment that something he considered troublesome seemed insignificant to the being before him.

He couldn't help but become curious about who this being was, and why even the Grim Reaper didn't fear him.

However, it was clear that with his personality, he wouldn't ask.

He couldn't help but say, "You saved me again."

"He meant no harm," Shaya said.

He paused, then said with some amusement, "When did I ever save you?"

As they spoke, the steak Shaya had ordered was brought by the waiter and placed in front of him, exuding a very tempting aroma of meat and a faint scent of lemon.

Shaya picked up his knife and fork, cutting into the steak while glancing at the bandages wrapped around Hart's left arm.

"You're injured?"

"Yes," Hart nodded. "I ran into two robbers on the way back from the Imperial Capital, but thankfully, it was a close call."

He paused, then looked at Shaya, "Thanks to you."

"I didn't do anything, you were just lucky," Shaya said.

Shaya wasn't wrong. There were many variables in Destiny, and perhaps because Shaya had altered his fate, he was able to escape death.

However, Shaya couldn't guarantee how he would survive.

Losing an arm directly, or being paralyzed from the waist down were both possibilities, as this was a calamity that could have led to his death.

But he only had a superficial wound, which could only mean he was lucky.

Shaya cut off a piece of steak and put it in his mouth. The beef was rich in fat, tender, and had no tough sinews. It melted in his mouth with a little chewing, but it wasn't greasy at all. The beef flavor was rich, and the juice was overflowing.

This beef was delicious even without any seasoning.

He nodded, "You're right, the beef here is indeed delicious."

He looked up at Hart, "I have a favor to ask of you."

Hart was taken aback, but then a joyful smile appeared on his face. There was nothing more joyful than being able to help one's benefactor.

"What do you need me to do? As long as it's something I can do, I'll do my best to complete it!"

"It's not that exaggerated," Shaya continued to eat the steak in front of him. "I want to move over here. You're a local, so you should be familiar with the people here.

Help me find a house that's for sale, and of course, I'll pay for it."

Hart thought for a moment, "Do you have any requirements?"

"As long as it's comfortable to live in," Shaya said.

Hart nodded, then smiled, "I'll definitely find you the best house in Saxili!"

"Let's be clear beforehand, I can't afford a house that's too expensive," Shaya said.

The house they lived in was actually just one house. The other houses were merely external appearances, just doors, and didn't need to be luxurious.

"Leave it to me!" Hart said confidently.

Shaya nodded. Hart seemed like a relatively reliable person, and handing this over to him shouldn't cause any problems.

He chatted with Hart for a while longer, and even went with him to buy some prime beef from the local butcher to let the others at home taste it.

After that, he returned to the Imperial Capital. If he wanted to open a shop, it was still more suitable to open one in the Imperial Capital.

Although the throne was being transferred, it would eventually end.

There would be wars in the future, and the Imperial Capital was the safest place in a country.

The widowed mother and her child whom Hart had taken care of seemed to be considering transferring the shop. Her husband's pension had been paid out, and combined with the money their family had earned and the shop's transfer fee, it was enough for them to live a good life in the countryside.

However, they still needed to consider what kind of shop to open.

He didn't expect to make much money from opening a shop. Money was just a number to him, an immortal. He just needed to find something to do to pass the long time.

After all, he couldn't just sit around and bask in the sun every day, and he would eventually finish reading all the magic books that the old man had manifested in the castle.

Therefore, a profitable shop was secondary; the main thing was that it should be hassle-free and interesting.

After finishing all this, by the time Shaya returned to the castle, it was already around two or three in the afternoon.

"They've gone out," Cassifa said. "To the castle."

Shaya placed the beef he bought from Saxili on a table to the side and opened the door to the castle.

The castle was no longer by the large lake.

The Wilderness Witch had been trying to pinpoint the castle's location, and on the night Alicia had a fever, Shaya had Cassifa head east.

After traveling for several days and nights, they were almost out of the Britannia Empire.

Their current location was not in North America or Europe, but on the land connecting the two continents.

In Shaya's previous world, this place would have been part of the Atlantic Ocean.

As far as the eye could see, there was a vast, boundless plain covered in lush green grass, with a gentle breeze blowing. However, spring had just arrived, so some of the grass hadn't fully turned green yet, and some of the shrubs and bushes were still bare.

Still, it was a beautiful scene of nature's revival.

Alicia sat on a small hill with her elderly companion chair, a gray cloth covering her legs, and happily watched Arthur, who was not far away.

Arthur was excitedly running across the grassland, and behind him, a small animal, like a kitten or puppy, leaped and chased him.

The person and the beast seemed to be playing like friends who had known each other for a long time.

Alicia spotted Shaya standing at the castle entrance and called out to Arthur, signaling him to get ready to return.

Arthur stopped, looked back at the castle entrance, then turned and scooped up the little creature, holding it under its armpits.

He jogged to the castle entrance, excitedly holding the animal and asking Shaya, "Shaya, can I keep it?"

Shaya finally got a clear look at the creature. It resembled a cat but was much sturdier.

He looked at Arthur with a strange expression.

"Do you know what this is?"

"A kitten," Arthur replied, confused. "Isn't it? It looks a lot like the one at the orphanage. Alicia thinks it's a cat too."

Of course, she thinks it's a cat. She was blind not too long ago, Shaya thought.

He had loved watching nature documentaries as a child, so he recognized the creature.

It was a young lion, though he couldn't tell the breed.

Under Arthur's expectant gaze, Shaya looked around. Young lions like this usually stayed with their pride.

However, the surroundings didn't seem to have a pride, perhaps they had been scared off by the castle manipulated by Cassifa.

This was a lion cub separated from its pride. Such a young cub would likely not survive alone in the wild.

"Taking care of an animal isn't easy," Shaya said. "Are you sure you're ready?"

Arthur lowered his head, and the little lion also looked up at him. The two little ones exchanged a glance.

Then, he looked up, his eyes firm as he said to Shaya, "I can do it!"

Shaya nodded. "What's its name?"

Upon hearing this, Arthur's eyes lit up. He excitedly blurted out the name he had already decided on, "Its name is Sunny!"

Shaya looked at the little lion. Animals grew much faster than humans. A lion of this age would be the size of a leopard in about a year, and some special breeds could be even larger.

"Fortunately, the place we'll be living in the future isn't small," he said.
