Background

Arthur is Emperor Moria Britannia's youngest son. Before Moria's death, the emperor entrusted the boy's destiny to Shaya, believing his survival was essential to Britannia's future stability. Moria also revealed that Arthur had three older sisters. 30 31

He grew up at Blue Sky Orphanage under the name Freddy, a name derived from the day he arrived there. He was isolated from the other children and staff because his unusual sensitivity to goodwill and malice could be mistaken for mind-reading. 31

After Moria died, Shaya visited the orphanage and offered to take him away. Freddy trusted Shaya's lack of ill intent, left with him despite Shaya completing no visible adoption procedures, and was renamed Arthur. He initially objected to the new name. 31 32

Arthur moved into Shaya's castle, where he quickly adapted to its magical features and helped Alicia clean its neglected rooms. 32 34
