History and Major Arcs

The sect was founded roughly a thousand years before the present narrative to contain the ancient True Beast Liao within its Abyssal Prison. Its martial system developed around sealing rather than killing, with techniques intended to protect cultivators from True Realm calamities and restrain dangerous beings. 320

During its Haizhou period, the Xuanmiao Sect occupied Tianhai Island’s only volcano. It maintained outer and inner divisions, with the Inner Mountain housing its Blessed Land and advanced True Human practitioners. Wei He and Cai Menghuan’s killing of the Thousand-Faced Demon Lord elevated the sect’s standing among the surviving Daoist sects.
