Golden Bed slowly rose from the throne. His aura was terrifying, and surging gales burst forth around him, blasting the Asura maidservants beside him away.
"Indra! Vishnu!"
Golden Bed gritted his teeth, squeezing those two names from his hoarse throat. His body trembled with rage.
Rebellious son!
That rebellious son!
He actually dared worship his greatest enemies!
"Prahlad!!!"
Golden Bed let out a furious roar. Violent airwaves surged outward, and his bellow echoed throughout the Heavenly Realm, carrying his wrath.
He threw back his head and shot into the sky with a bang, like a meteor chasing the moon, plunging straight down toward the palace.
Bang!
The palace shook violently. Dust filled the air, and countless pieces of rubble rained down.
Golden Bed stepped out of the smoke. His towering shadow fell over a young man wearing a golden crown and red robes.
The young man sat cross-legged on the ground with a smile on his face. The blazing flames before him cast a red glow across his features.
"Praise Indra!"
Prahlad smiled.
With his palms pressed together, he offered a prayer of praise, then grabbed a pile of red flower powder beside him and scattered it into the Sacrificial Fire.
Golden Bed's eyes widened. His body trembled slightly, and his fists clenched tight.
"Prahlad!"
Golden Bed said.
Hearing this, Prahlad abruptly turned around. Excitement appeared in his clear eyes.
"Father, you're back!"
Prahlad beamed with joy, hurriedly rose, and jogged over to Golden Bed.
Golden Bed stared coldly at him, his scrutinizing gaze sweeping continuously over Prahlad.
He narrowed his eyes, clenched his fists, and slowly said,
"You are..."
"An Indra devotee?!"
Golden Bed glared at him.
"Of course not!"
Prahlad smiled and shook his head, blinking happily at his father.
