Myth: The Devraj Isn't Working Today

Indian mythology, the Trimurti suppress the current era.

Many immortals curse all the gods.

After ten thousand years of Tapasya, the Asuras, upon receiving blessings, would attack the Heavenly Realm and beat up the Devraj.

"Arduous cultivation, blessings, beating up the Devraj. How can Indian mythology be all about this cycle? I'm the one suffering and getting beaten, I'm done!"

Indra, who transmigrated into the Devraj, was furious.

And so...

"Whoever wants to be the Devraj can be, I'm not working!"

Indra declared.

"Hey, hey, hey, the script isn't supposed to go like this," said Shiva, the God of Destruction, utterly confused.

"You have great merit from before, this Devraj position rightfully belongs to you. If not, this world will fall into chaos!" Vishnu, the Preserver, was anxious.

"No, no, Devraj, I'll grant you blessings, quickly go beat up the Asuras!" Brahma, the Creator God, said so.
