Background / History

Wei Yunqing was born into the Wei Family as the daughter favored by Wei Lingyue. Her refined features resembled Du Ruolan, while her eyes strongly resembled Wei Lingyue's; she was regarded as having inherited the best traits of both parents. Her Dual Spiritual Roots aptitude also distinguished her among the younger Wei cultivators. 12

After achieving Qi Introduction, Yunqing became increasingly confident and smug. She promised to bring Wei Yunxi to the Haoran Sect, but her attachment to Yunxi was tied partly to preserving her own sense of superiority. 12

At the Haoran Sect, Yunqing initially relied heavily on her aptitude and treated Wei Yunxi's lower-grade talismans dismissively. Her relationship with Wei Yunying was strained, and her rapid rise to Qi Refining Layer 8 provoked resentment among the Wei disciples. 46 54

Yunqing first entered Pill Peak, where she cultivated third-order spiritual plants to gain attention. She later learned alchemy and became True Lord Yuhuo's nominal disciple through her connection to Sheng Yuhong and her identity as Wei Yunxi's sister. 125

Pill Peak and Spirit Beast Peak

Unable to become a personal disciple at Pill Peak, Yunqing became True Lord Yuhuo's nominal disciple through spiritual-plant cultivation and alchemy studies.
