Background / History

Evil Immortals are a hostile class of immortal cultivators distinguished by their use of Evil Qi, soul manipulation, blood sacrifice, and formations. Their operations extend across multiple realms and frequently support the Evil God's return, including weakening seals on the Evil God's body and creating disorder to distract or divide righteous forces. 741 746

Their methods include infiltrating sects and families, manipulating cultivators through valued people or promises of eternal life, turning victims into pawns, and inciting conflicts between sects, Daoist cultivators, and demonic cultivators. They also spread evil techniques among mortals to expand chaos and suffering. 517

In the Mengxia Mountain Range, a group of Evil Immortals imprisoned immortal-beast clans in formations, draining their immortal essence, soul power, flesh, and blood. Yunxi reversed one such formation, making it consume the six Evil Immortals who had established it. 1007

The faction later sought to create a beast tide in the Mengxia Mountain Range while searching for unknown treasures that had fallen through spatial turbulence. Two Evil Immortals were defeated by the Ape Ancestor, who extracted their immortal infants; Yunxi sealed the infants, which were infused with evil energy. 1011

Evil Immortals also infiltrated major powers in the Immortal Realm. The Fan family contained disciples who practiced evil techniques, while an Immortal Elder named Zhongli acted as an accomplice during the attack on the six-armed ape clan. 1011 1037

Their conspiracies continued through the Grand Competition of the Five Regions, where a teleportation array abducted one-fifth of the participants to the Sea of Buried Gods. 1172 They also employed black armored beetles as puppets capable of controlling cultivators and devouring souls. 1151 1160

After Yunxi reached the Immortal Emperor realm and destroyed the Evil God's body, the remaining Evil Immortals became more cautious. Menglan Jun later used dream-entry to identify and eliminate hidden members across the Five Regions. 1342 1347
