Feiyun arrives while Li Yan is fighting Yuan Feipeng and quietly watches the “weaklings’ brawl” with Shangguan Xiyun. His irreverence vanishes when he recognizes the danger in Li Yan’s Peak Mastery saber strike, which makes him feel threatened despite their realm difference. He identifies himself as Xiyun’s second elder brother and ensures her immediate safety. 11 12

When Wang Dingtian demands Li Yan’s life, Feiyun refuses to surrender the man who saved his sister. He confronts Wang with the Shangguan Family’s Flying Flower Scattered Hands, but Wang’s Golden Armor Silver Soldier Art repels his palm force and leaves him badly injured. Feiyun nevertheless holds Wang back and throws Li Yan and Xiyun across the suspension bridge so they can escape. 12 13

Defender of Li Yan and the Shangguan Family

After returning to Dongjiang City, Feiyun openly recognizes Li Yan’s extraordinary martial talent and offers him guidance alongside Shangguan Liuyun. He later spars with Li Yan, decisively demonstrating the strength of the Meridian Opening Realm. 14 15 16

As Huang Lingyan’s power rises, Shangguan Liuyun destroys Feiyun’s cultivation to carry out the family’s escape plan. Newly empowered, Feiyun confronts Huang Lingyan in the Shangguan residence and fights him through Dongjiang City. He withstands Huang’s frost techniques, contends with a hidden black-clad attacker, and survives poisoned throwing knives by relying on residual Energy Gathering Aura. 52 53 54 55

During the final battle, Feiyun deliberately abandons defense and allows Huang’s Frost Sword to pierce his shoulder. He then uses Flying Flower Scattered Hands and debris formed into massive hands to immobilize Huang, creating the opening Li Yan uses to kill the City Lord. 56 57

Beneath his flippant behavior, Feiyun is fiercely loyal to his family and repays debts of gratitude. He refuses to abandon Li Yan despite the political risk to the Shangguan Family, protects Xiyun from Wang Dingtian, and repeatedly places himself in danger for those he considers his own. 13 17 56
