History

The Qingyang County Demon Suppression Division had existed for nearly fifty years by the beginning of the story. During that period, only the Jinyang Prefecture Left Thousand Households Officer and Commander Xiao Qiaofeng were cited as standout talents produced through its early Mid-grade-technique training system. 1

Before the major crisis, the branch was already strained by increasingly active demonic creatures. Most personnel were deployed to villages and towns under Qingyang County, leaving the Technique Pavilion unusually empty. 2 Internal conditions worsened after Sun Wude became Deputy Commander: Sun-family factionalism spread through the organization while Xiao Qiaofeng largely delegated administrative affairs to focus on cultivation. 6

The division deployed multiple teams to reinforce the Blood Copper Mine during the Jiaolong Mountain Range crisis. Luo Ming and Zhang Tianhong led a force that fought alongside the Iron Hand Gang against humanoid demonic creatures and later defended the mine from the Golden Tiger Prince's assault. 18 19 23

The Qingyang branch was subsequently undermined by the County Magistrate, who falsely accused Xiao Qiaofeng and Ye Xiaofan of being demonic spies. Sun Wude enforced the arrests, while the division was redirected toward eliminating demonic creatures released inside the city. 36 The truth was later confirmed: the County Magistrate was the Evil hidden within Qingyang County. 33

After Qingyang City fell into ruin, Demon Suppressing Guards from Jinyang returned to the county under Commander Zuo's command. They fought through the city and entered the demon lair beneath the county office to rescue captives and eliminate the remaining threat. 48 49
