Tie Wuqing arrived in Qingyang County and established the Iron Hand Gang. Three years before the Blood Copper Mine incident, he was already at the Body Refinement Eighth Layer. Xiao Qiaofeng tested him in secret, leading Tie Wuqing to use the Jin family’s inherited Shattering Gold Palm; Xiao subsequently suspected that Tie Wuqing was descended from the Jin family, though this was not confirmed. 26

The Iron Hand Gang earned a positive reputation in Qingyang County under Tie Wuqing’s leadership. Its members regularly hunted demonic creatures and maintained frequent dealings with the Demon Suppression Division. 18

He is practical in his dealings: he agreed to assist the Demon Suppression Division against demonic creatures in exchange for ten Blood Qi Pills and one hundred jin of Blood Copper, and later made sure Bai Tianhei remembered the payment. 18 21

Despite this transactional attitude, Tie Wuqing is deeply principled. He hates demonic creatures and condemns humans who willingly become them. After promising Xiao Qiaofeng to escort Ye Xiaofan safely toward Jinyang City, he refused to abandon the mission even when it put his own life at risk. 18 19 38

During the journey, Tie Wuqing confronted humanoid demonic creatures, revealed his Body Refinement Ninth Layer cultivation, and protected the group. He pursued the Ox-Horn Demon, killed the Unicorn Demon, and treated Ye Xiaofan’s poison with a low-grade first-rank detoxification pill. 19 20

Tie Wuqing later broke the Golden Tiger’s discord-inducing spell, preventing the human cultivators from turning on Ye Xiaofan. He also fought the Golden Tiger during the ensuing battle. 23 24

Escape from Qingyang County

After learning that the County Magistrate was Evil, Tie Wuqing joined Ye Xiaofan’s escape toward Jinyang City. He remained with Ye despite knowing that doing so made him a target, citing his promise to Xiao Qiaofeng and his own plans for future revenge. 35 38

Tie Wuqing and Ye Xiaofan crossed the Thorn Swamp, escaped the Thorn Crocodile Turtle, and concealed themselves in the Clear Water River. They combined their strength against Evil but were defeated by the overwhelming gap between Body Refinement and Qi Condensation. 39 40 41

Immortal Emperor’s Inheritance

When Ye Xiaofan and Tie Wuqing were transported into the Five Elements Daoist’s hidden location, Tie Wuqing failed the inheritance trial’s spiritual-root requirement.
